Let me tell you something,
Heels are really really hard to walk with.

I literally feel like collapsing. I am trying my hardest to stand up straight but this will not work.

"Pull yourself together Lori." My sister said in a whisper so that no one would notice.

"You try walking in these, let's see if you don't end up crippled. Trust me when I say these shoes were made in hell."

I raised my leg to scratch the itch I felt in my ankle but Melanie pushed my leg back down.

"What are you doing? Let me scratch the itch." I moved to do the action again but she did the same thing.

She replied to me with a smile that was just for show for everyone around us; "Just trying to make you look decent" I heard her mumble in continuation; "For once..."

"Melanie, pleeeaassseee. Dear sister, please get me another pair.My feet are killing me." I pleaded as I sst down on the chair at the side of the room. I take the heels off and, of course, my feet was red and hurting.

"Mel, I swear, I will cut my feet or I will walk barefoot if you make me wear that again."

After a few minutes of bribing and begging, I finally convinced her to get me another pair of heels for my aching feet. She went off with Mindy and made me sit down here so that she wouldn't have trouble finding me when she gets back.

I look around the ballroom and its full of guests. I see the other royals and nobles dancing or just chatting. This is not the kind of party I would usually enjoy. What is to be enjoyed except for the food served. I stare at the food table and keep my eyes there. I look around again to see if I was familiar with the guests attending.

Surely, there was Aunt Criselda and Aunt Celeste sitting down on the chairs talking to their husbands. There was King Krissun and his Queen Eidelane with their son, Quimm.

I noticed that some of my fellow royals with the same age range are together in one side of the ball. I see -ugh- Crystal, Everest, Carsel, Hadyn, and Livia in one group together talking. So much for a group of bullies. There were also other groups there but one group caught my eye. They were like any other group but that boy.

That's when realization slapped me so hard in my face. That guy is the one I've been coincidentally meeting the past two days in the meadow. The decent guy. Look, if you were in my place, his aura has something that says decent. okay? don't blame me for not calling him handsome or tall cause he is. I'm just stuck with his... decency.

He was laughing and talking and then I noticed his eyes roam the room. I put my hands in front of my face so that I'm hidden. I looked again and he wasn't looking anymore. That was close.

Why is he here? Is he some ki-

"Here"

I look up and see Melanie with another pair of heels in her hands. They look so much more comfortable than what I wore before. I wear them and stand up to head for Mom and Dad.

I look at the boy again and he's already looking at me. My eyes widen immediately and Melanie noticed. She turned around to see what I was looking at and I cimpletely panicked. I ended up pushing her by instinct and she bumped onto....

The Royal Ass.... Everest.

Shit.

She stood up being helped up by Everest and standing beside him was his parents and sisters. I guess he went back to talking to his family and my family instead of his circle of bullies.

"Hello Dillory. You look gorgeous!" Queen Frella said.

"Doesn't she look amazing, Everest?" King Benedict spoke.
