Hello. I'm Dillory Anne Demeter and I'm 18. You can just call me Aedel, which is the nickname my parents prefer. But I prefer being called Lori.

I live in the main kingdom named Cyphrid. What's a lady without teachers to her posture and 'elegant' movements?

The madames who taught me these are Miranda, Francine, and Hildigleim. But most of the time I just call them Mira, France and Hilda. They're making me eligible for being queen. Since I'm 18 and my sister, Melanie, is only 14, I get to be queen when the time comes.

Precisely, when I'm 20.

There's also my brothers, John and Harry. Harry's my older brother. He's 20 and is quite famous among the ladies around the kingdoms. John is another matter. He is my 16 year old brother who loves to play pranks on people. especially me. If pranks are the only things I get from him because I'm human, well, consider me a beast for all I care.

Back to the subject of reigning, 2 more years of training.

ugh

It's not all that glamorous to be a princess just so you know. I'm not actually much of a rebel. I just get tired. Nothing wrong with that. My parents explained that Harry can't be king because the last ruler of this kingdom was a boy and, that's my father, now the ruler and heir has to be a girl, that would be me.

I go to the market place on some days when I want to be reminded on how normal feels like and this, I decided, would be one of those days.

I hurriedly changed into a plain shirt and pants. I would wear my hooded coat so no one would recognize me. Never really been caught and I've been doing this for 5 years.

I get out of the castle grounds by using the woods. I always use the woods to get to the village. Using the bridge would be too risky.

When I get to the village I immediately started to walk around freely but I still held on to my hood careful enough to not let it be brought down. You really wouldn't look suspicious since the place is packed with people.

I just kept on walking and watching what happens in the citizens' daily lives until some idiot shoved me which, being the klutz I am, tried to hold onto a stall to keep from falling face first but the whole array of fruits on display at the stand gave in and just fell face first on the ground.

I looked for the guy and I saw his back as he didn't even turn around to face the whole incident as he was already running away.

He looked like he was in a hurry and in trouble with the guards. Poor him. Not. He didn't even say sorry.

I stood up and brushed of all the fruity parts and the juice would eventually become very sticky later.

I was going to walk away but a hand shot out and grabbed my arm. I turned to look at the person who grabbed me and, well, I think I'm about to pass out.

It's a guard. And not just one of the guards. It's the freaking chief of the guards.

"What's your name kid?", he pressed.

"Cynthia sir", I said with a meek voice and I just hoped he wouldn't recognize my voice, "I'm so sorry I didn't mean to knock the stall down there was this guy who knocked me down and-"

"Lori you can stop", he cut me off and I know he heard me gasp sharply, "What are you doing out here? You do know your mother and father woul be beyond furious to know this and with no guard accompanying you, you are putting yourself in danger." he finished.

Let me explain, I made the mistake of calling him sir instead of his title since he's always been like a second father to me and my siblings and not to mention he's the closest and the most trusted friend of my parents.

That last part is a fact and that is how I know I am going to die later. He will definitely tell my parents about this. I have absoloutely no doubts.

He sighed and I knew he was dissapointed just as my parents would be later when they are informed that their to become queen daughter went out the castle grounds.

God, I won't even think about them knowing that I've been doing this for 5 years. That would ensure me a funeral.

He started to drag me towards the palace.

Poor me.
