Louis groaned at the sound of his mum shouting to him. "Ten more minutes Lou!"The five year old turned his head to look at her from the top of the play tower, looking her straight in the eye and sticking his toungue out with the biggest glare he could muster, before proceeding to slide down the plastic tunnel slide. It always shocked his skin, and made his hair stick up from the static, but to him it was all part of the adventure.
When he reached the bottom, he saw him. The small green eyed boy on the swings who kept getting his gray jacket stuck in the chain. He sat watching for a bit, swinging his legs back and forth until he decided he should probably help him.
"Hi! I'm Louis! You should take your jacket off!" He called out, running toward him.
"I'm Harry..." the other boy responded, "I can't."
"Sure you can! Just unzip the zipper!" Louis said, reaching for the zipper but Harry put his hand up to stop him.
"No, my mummy won't let me." He said softly, playing with his fingers, his jacket still all caught in the chain.
"Well is your mummy watching?" Louis asked, a mischievous look in his eyes.
Harry glanced over, and seeing she was distracted talking to another woman, he shook his head.
"Well take it off then!" Louis responded, "She's not watching!"
Harry couldn't help but wonder if Louis always talked with so much enthusiasm. "I ummm" he looked over at his mum again, then back at Louis who was grinning and he felt a bit of a rush and nodded. "Okay!" he giggled.
Louis smiled and helped him out of the jacket, and after that they just abandoned it and went to play in the sandbox, deciding to build a little tower. Harry though, did most of the building and Louis kept getting distracted by the ants on the sidewalk outside the sandbox, or the random rocks that were in the sand.
"Louis! Time to go!" Louis' mother Jay called out, making him groan as he stood up, sand all over his pants, but he didn't care.
"Harry you too!" Harry heard his mum as well, so Louis grabbed his hand tugging him up to his feet.
"Wanna race to the benches?" Louis asked, raising his eyebrows.
"Okay" Harry responded a bit quietly, but smiling nonetheless.
As it turned out, Louis was much faster than Harry and beat him by a long shot.
"You're too slow! I win!" Louis bragged, as Harry finally reached him, panting heavily.
He started to cry a little, being only 5 he was very emotional, and a little upset. He had tried his best! Luckily, he'd run straight to the bench his mum was at and he immediately climbed into her lap, pressing his face into her neck. "Mummy..." He whined.
"What's wrong Harbear?" She responded, rubbing his back.
"Wait that's your mum?" Louis jumped in before he could even speak. Harry just nodded, keeping his head where it was and not looking up.
"Well this is my mummy!" Louis grinned pointing to Jay who had been sitting and chatting with Anne this whole time.
Harry peaked his head up a little to look at her, before burying his face back into his mum.
"Louis," Jay spoke calmly, "I think you owe Harry an apology love. What you said to him wasn't very nice."
"It wasn't?" Louis tilted his head. He was always so straightforward and he didn't know that it came across rude.
