Perfection: Chapter Five.

Melanie’s POV
After we left the mall, we stopped by Red Lobster for some yummy seafood and ate there until about nine o’clock, which was when Rachael had to go home. She kept wriggling her eyebrows at me the entire trip to her house, and I kept rolling my eyes and scoffing at her while Justin was oblivious to everything.
When I dropped her off, she ran inside her house, saying she had to take care of something and it left us in front of her house, astonished at how fast she sped up her drive.
I took Justin back to his house which was a good twenty minutes from Rachael’s, and we held hands the whole way. I couldn’t stop grinning like a fool at us, and I kept sneaking glances at him through the rear-view mirror. Gosh he was so cute.
His shaggy light brown hair ruffled in the breeze that came in through the cracked windows, his icy blue eyes even shone in the dark, looking like it illuminated his whole face up. Sometimes he smiled at the funny commercials that came on the radio, and that sent a beam of white into my heart.
His stubble on his chin actually made him look a thousand times hotter than he already is, if that is even possible. Everything about him was perfect. I wouldn’t change it for the world.
I pulled up next to his house, and his 2009 black Lancer was parked in his driveway. It was indefinitely a sexy car. I let the car idle as I walked him up his drive. When we got to the door, I shifted around a little nervously with my hands in my pockets. I was never really good at goodbyes.
“Uhh… Well… Uhmm…. Tonight was really fun! Thanks for asking me out, haha I guess. I’m sorry; I’m just so bad at goodbyes.” I said nervously. I was just about to walk back to my car when Justin lifted my chin and looked me straight in the eye.
“I think it’s really cute. That’s why I asked you out in the first place. You have good looks, yes but that’s only a plus. I love your personality and just the way you take life on. I always want to be with you, to hear your voice. To be intoxicated by your sweet scent of strawberries and vanilla. To look you in the eye every day and say that you’re mine. To hold your hand, to just be myself with you,” He said. My eyes glowed and a tear escaped from my eye. He brushed it away before it could fall off of my face.
“That’s….. That’s so sweet!” I blabbered. “I mean you and me and wha-“He cut me off by kissing me softly. Who knew an innocent kiss could be so fiery? I wrapped my arms around his neck and deepened the kiss while he put his hands on my waist, sending sparks up and down my spine.
God knows how long we’ve been kissing for, we were about to rip each other’s clothes’ off right then and there when we heard someone clearing his throat to the side of us. We both quickly looked at him, and there stood Riley, Justin’s twelve year old little brother in the doorway, with his arms crossed and his foot tapping.
“Mom says to come inside! Oh, and you can leave your little ‘friend’ with me if you want,” He finished suggestively, a smirk on his face. I bent down a little to his height, and pinched his cheeks.
“Ooooh you wish I would, you’re so cute! I would dress you up and take you everywhere and have tea parties and everything!!” I said in a baby-like voice. He frowned and pushed my hands away, walking back up the stairs to his room. Justin walked into his house backwards and stopped right in the doorway.
“Well, goodnight Justin.” I said, hugging him one last time.
“Goodnight my princess.” He smiled sweetly and closed the door, but not before planting another kiss on my lips. I walked back a little dazed, and got into my car.
When the lights turned off in my car, I started to dance in my seat, fist-pumping like a Guido. Then I look up to his house, and in the second story window I see Justin laughing his ass off at me.
I blush a little and wave at him goodbye, but he held up one finger signaling ‘one sec’ and goes away from his window. I peered around curiously and he came back with a marker and a whiteboard, writing down something big and bold. He paused for a second, then held it up to the window.
I LOVE YOU! <3
The huge letters made me melt inside, and I smiled like a goof. He then waved goodbye, and closed his shades while I drove back to my house. When I got back, I threw Connie’s keys back on the hook and ventured out to the kitchen where Gabe sat at the table, his eyebrows furrowed and his bottom lip curled in. He always curls his bottom lip into his mouth when he’s thinking really hard. I walk over to him and ruffle his hair, then wrap my arms around his neck.
“Workin’ hard or hardly workin’?” I said.
He laughs at me, and snuggles his head into my neck.
“College sucks. So many papers, so little classes! Can you believe it? California’s supposed to be easy when it comes to school!” I giggle at his comment, but nod understandingly. I give him one last squeeze and he pecks my cheek.
“You’re awesome!” He says to me.
“I know.”
“You’re beautiful!”
“I know!!”
“You’re my favorite sister!”
“I’m your only sister.”
“You’re better than my other brothers!”
“You’re the only boy!”
“What about dad?” He said curiously while I looked in the fridge for something to eat. I peered around and my eyes fell on some leftover spaghetti in the fridge.
“He doesn’t count. Sometimes I even think he’s girlier than me.” I said popping the pasta into the microwave, and pressed random buttons.
“You’re so right, Mell Bell!” He only calls me that to annoy me, and it always works. I grimace at him, but he only smiled back at me. Then he stretched lazily, yawned and got up. “I gotta get me some shuteye, classes start at six tomorrow!” I look over to the clock above the stove and I widen my eyes. Crap! It’s already one in the morning!! How long did Justin and I kiss for?!
Gabe gives me a kiss on the forehead, and then groggily walks out of the kitchen and slams his bedroom door behind him. The microwave beeped back at me and the digital display read: ENJOY! IT’S HOT! I chuckled at it, and opened the door, grabbing my spaghetti.
“Ouch! OUCH! HOT!!!!” I scream as the bowl drops to the floor, spilling the contents all over the linoleum.
“Damnit!!!” I grumble, looking up at the microwave, half expecting it to flash back: I TOLD YOU SO!!
After a good fifteen minutes of cleaning the big splatter, I went back to the refridgerator breathlessly, looking a second time for at least something edible. I open the box of muffins in there and grab a chocolate chip one, closing it and munching on it while I walked to my room.
I made sure to take off my makeup this time, then threw the muffin wrapper into my wastebasket as I quickly changed into a big shirt and flopped onto my bed. I fell asleep faster than you could say Justin Farley. Speaking of which, I smiled as I dreamt about him and me.
Pretty boring, I know. This was just a filler chapter I guess. I just didn’t want to be so mean like before and not update for forever!!! I might do the next chapter after this, I don’t know. There’s so much to do. I feel awesome when I type and I don’t feel stressed, but I just have so much stuff to do that I can’t get anything accomplished):
But here you go!
Love you all(:
