Perfection: Chapter Seven.
Melanie’s POV
“Get up get up get up get up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” My phone was shrieking at me, the alarm highly annoying. Hey, at least it gets me up in the morning! I opened it and right when I turned it off, Rachael called me.
“He-hello?” I said sleepily.
“GOOOOOOOD MORRRRRNING SUNSHINE!!!” Rach yelled into my ear. I flinched and pulled the phone away from my now throbbing ear-drum.
“First deafening my brother, now me? You have to??” I said, a little angry.
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to yell!” She sounded hurt. I softened my anger, and started to feel bad for snapping at her.
“It’s okay; I’m just a little tired. But I’m super stoked for today!!!” Rachael agreed with me and we decided to three-way call Shelby into our conversation.
“GUYS!!!!! IT’S FRIIIDAY, FRIIIDAY, GETTING DOWN ON FR-“ “STOP!” Rachael and I both cut Shelby off from that obnoxious song.
“Sorry, it’s just catchy!” Shelby said. We did agree but we all hated that retched song.
“Please Shelby, I just had my ears blown out by Rachael, I don’t need to pop my eardrums from Rebecca Black’s nasal voice!!” I chirped.
After a good ten minutes of talking about what all of us was going to wear tonight for the fall festival, we couldn’t think of anything so Rachael and Shelby were going to come over after school to figure out something gorgeous to wear. I hung up promising them delicious that Gabe would cook up for dinner before we head off.
I jump out of bed and walk into my en-suite bathroom, do my business then turn on my straightener while I brush my teeth.
I didn’t put on any makeup because I was gonna wow Justin tonight with my stunning new makeup I bought at Sephora from the mall that one day. It still sort of bothered me-that girl I ran into was so distressed I felt bad for her.
My straightener was finally hot enough so I made some natural-looking waves with it and fixed my bangs into a poof. I unplugged the straightener and then quickly put on a little concealer to make me look less tired and walked out of the bathroom.
Heading over to my walk-in closet I picked out black plaid shorts and a purple tank-top and slipped on my black gladiator sandals. I walked back out and grabbed my backpack on the way out along with my iPod Touch and phone.
