Chapter 31

I wake up in bed, was it all a dream? Did this 'Joe' actually help me?
I sit up and look around my room, everything is as it is normally,
"Joe?" I call out, my mind is still whirring and vision still has a slight blur.

"Hello?" A male voice replies, and Joe walks in,
"How do you know where I live?" I ask quickly, determined to know every aspect of information I can about last night.
Joe smiles at me,
"Don't worry, You blacked out so I demanded that your father gave me directions to your house and the front door key, he was pretty drunk so he just went along with everything, once I'd tucked you in bed I quickly returned the keys to your dad and climbed through your window, which I'd opened before I left, to get back in" Joe explains, I close my eyes as I process all the facts.

"What's your name?" Joe asks,
"Skye..." I reply blankly, still not sure wether or not to trust this strange boy, who's in my house,
"That's a pretty name, I'm Joe" Joe winks, and I start to feel self conscious that I'm having a convocation with a stranger in my bedroom.

"I thought I should stay till your dad returns to make sure your safe, but he's still not back" Joe speaks grimly, and I shrug,
"Not surprised really"
Joe looks at me oddly before changing subject,
"When I helped you, you thought I was this 'Dom', who's he?" Joe questions, I was really tempted to reply with 'mind your own business' or 'don't be nosey', but I guess Joe did help me,
"He's my friend, my best friend" I answer, and I see Joe's face turn.

"Do you trust him?" Joe asks,
"Of course!" I snap,
"get him to come here" Joe shrugs, making himself comfortable on my bed, hesitantly I reach for my phone and text Dom
'How fast can you get over here? Creepy dude saved my life and is wanting to meet you :S'
I press send and wait for a reply, the only reason I did what Joe asked is because I was starting to find all this really confusing and Joe was just beginning to take the piss.

'I just happen to be passing your road, I'll be there to meet this 'creepy dude' in any second now ;) , and what do you mean saved you? Are you ok?? Explain when I get to yours xx'

SHIT, now I'm going to have to explain to Dominic about my Dad!!
No, I can just say I had a panic attack and Joe helped me,
The doorbell rings and Joe gets up to answer it,
"I'VE GOT IT!" I yell, pulling Joe back down and diving for the door, I hurtle down the stairs and yank the door open.

"Hey Skye! What happened, are you okay, where's this creepy guy, did anyth-" Dom panics, but I cut him off,
"It's fine honestly, I just had a panic attack and some nearby drunks got a bit carried away, but nothing to serious I promise" I smile, which reassures Dom,
"Ok, as long as you promise your alright. Now where's this hero?" Dom grins, clapping his hands together,
"My bedroom" I direct, and Dom winks at me,
"Saucy" Dom laughs, and I send him the death glare, which silences Dom.

I lead the way into my room, where Joe is sat on my bed scrolling through his phone,
"Joe" I speak, and the boy looks up from my bed,
"Dominic, Joe. Joe, Dominic" I introduce quickly before shuffling into place by my wardrobe to watch the boys talk.

"You wanted to meet me" Dom asks suspiciously, and Joe shrugs,
"I thought it would be good for Skye to have someone she knows, she went through a lot yesterday" Joe smiles,
"yeah, Skye told me what happened, thanks for helping her" Dom nods, and Joe returns the nod of appreciation.

"Well Skye, I need to be off, but I didn't want to leave you alone, I wrote my number on a piece of paper and left it on your dressing table, maybe we can meet up again sometime?" Joe offers and I nod,
I walk Joe down to the front door, and Dom awkwardly trials behind me,
"Goodbye Skye, it was nice meeting you Dom" Joe grins, as he slams the door behind him.

"Well that was sufficiently awkward!" Dom grins sarcastically, and I laugh,
"Thank you for coming" I smile,
"Anytime"
