Chapter VI - Taking back the Haven

Kayla slowly opened her eyes. She looked down and saw a huge blob of light island goo she was laying on for the past few hours. She looked at the sky, and remembered everything. She could still see the quibble flying away. She remembered her failed suicide attempt, and her failed life.

She closed her eyes again, hoping to fall asleep again, but after a few minutes, she felt something sharp and wet on her head. She looked up and saw a quibble lick her ears. "W- who are you?" she asked the quibble. The quibble slowly blinked and tried to lift Kayla up. Kayla weakly smiled and after a moment of doubt, got up to mount the quibble. The quibble chirped happily and started flying. "B- but where are we going?" asked Kayla in a worried, but kind of happy voice. The quibble let out a happy noise and countinued flying. 

After some flying, the quibble started being tired, and started progressively flying more slowly and weakly. After some time, the quibble couldn't fly anymore, and they both started falling. Kayla knew that she had to jump from a quibble once again, and did the exact thing. The only probem was that they were flying above the sea. 

After touching the sea. Kayla's lava body parts started to freeze. She started screaming in pain as the water froze more and more of the liquid parts of her body. After it reached her stomach, she couldn't take it anymore and fainted. 

She opened her eyes and looked around her, seeing water, bones, feathers and the bone that she was laying on. She could hear muffled sounds from scups, deedge, noggin and congle playing their instruments on a loop inside her head. 

"Come on let's go!"

After that, she started thinking where she could've ended up. She realised the sound is coming from above, and started climbing the bones and feathers that were on the colossal. She climbed slowly and carefully, as she was still nauseus from the whole body parts freezing and fainting thing. After she climbed all the way to the top, she looked at all the monsters. 

"Come on let's-"

All of the monsters suddenly stopped and stared at her. 

"I- It's her" said one of the monsters.

"Unbelievable" audibly whispered another monster

 After a second, everyone screamed "IT'S THE FIRE MONSTER!!". Kayla tried backing away, but the quarrister grabbed her and lifted her up for everyone to see.

"We have been saved!"

The quarrister and entbrat cleared some branches from a big tree in the center, threw a block of amber with a monster inside it in the sea and gently put Kayla on top of it. The monsters started staring at her, and she started wondering what she did to deserve this. She was the princess of the monsters, but none of the monsters outside Fire Haven knew that. Candelavra was supposed to announce that to every monster, but it never happened, as she disappeared. After thinking about the fire haven, she suddenly remembered why she decided to leave with the quibble. As she assumed it would take her to another island, she could use the monsters of the island to help her take back the haven. She could convince these monsters to help her take it back. She stood up on the edge of the tree so everyone could see her.

"Listen everyone. I am the princess of the monsters, and I order you to help me take back my island!"

A moment of silence followed, and she started backing away and questioning her decision,  but then everyone started cheering.

"She spoke to us!"

"The fire monster is the princess of monsters!"

"Everyone follow our leader!"
