Y/n's pov
I groan rolling over as I hit the alarm clock off. 5:30am it should really be a crime having to wake up this early. I drag my feet to the edge of my bed and sit up stretching a little. I pick out an outfit that looks somewhat professional but not overly professional because I didn't want to be that person. I quickly shower then get changed, I drink a cup of coffee and eat some fruit then I rush down to the apartment lobby. Shortly after I see my uncle enter, I walk up to him and smile giving him a quick hug which he returns. We enter the large black car that was outside waiting for us.
"It's your first day so please be on your best behavior. I had to pull a few strings in order to get you this internship and even more strings to make it a paid one." He says sighing
"Don't worry uncle I'll behave" I chuckle
"Now I know my brother didn't teach you any of the mannerisms here so did you read that guide I sent over to you?" He says
"Uh what guide?" I asked sheepishly
"Oh geez. Well how's your Korean?" He asks raising an eyebrow
"Practically non existent"
"Oh boy" he sighs rubbing his temples
"Yeah sorry. Dad didn't exactly have time to teach me anything about our heritage. But hey I'll make the effort to learn, don't sweat it" I smile
"Yeah...don't sweat it" he sighs as the car comes to a stop and we exit.
"So uh who exactly am I supposed to be an intern for?" I ask as we walk into YG Entertainment. I noticed that everyone's eyes seemed to be on us, well more specifically me and it made me slightly uncomfortable. I guess my uncle sensed that because he put his hand on my shoulder giving me a soft smile.
"That's a surprise and don't mind the stares, you're just a new face that's all. Give it a few days" he says pushing the button for the elevator and we get in.
"So you know interning in the states usually is just a fancy term for glorified coffee bitch right? Please tell me I'm not just going to be a coffee runner" I say rolling my eyes.
"Okay lesson one try not to swear in a professional environment" he says slightly hitting the back of my head causing me to pout.
"Right my bad"
"And no you won't just be getting coffee...well I mean you will be asked to do stuff like that from time to time. You'll actually kind of be more involved with stuff like paperwork and schedules you know stuff like that"
"So like a manager?"
"Except without the title. If you're a manager and you mess up you get fired...an intern messing up well that's a bit more forgivable."
"I see what you're saying. How am I supposed to do paperwork and schedules if I don't speak the language" I say stepping off the elevator as we finally reached our floor
"You'll have to learn fast" he says leading us down the hallway and before we enter the room he stops turning around.
"So you'll want to go in there and usually it's expected to introduce yourself and do a small bow. Oh maybe tell them your age" He says and I nod and enter the room after he opens the door and eyes go to us I feel a nudge in my side.
"Hello I'm Y/n L/n. I'm 21 and it's nice to meet you all" I say doing a small bow and they all nod. We go to take a seat at the table and all the other men and women go back to their previous conversations but I could feel their glances. Have you ever walked into a room and everyone got quiet because they were just talking about you? Well this was worse because I was sitting in the room and I knew everyone was talking about me, I just had no clue what they were saying.
