I didn't care where I was going. Anywhere would be fine.

Let me rephrase that. Anywhere away from him.
The very person I was running from now.
"PITTOOOOOOOO!" He yelled after me. I scowled back at the brunette. My lighter half.
"leave me the fuck alone!!!" I yelled back. "And stop calling me by that damned nickname!!!"
I flipped pit the bird and flew at top speed into the forest. He slowed down his pace, panting while gazing at me, disappearing from his sight.
"Pittoo....."

My legs dangled from the tree I sat in, resting 10 feet above the ground. A fall from this hight would likely kill a man like me...
I moved my grayish colored hand to scratch at my black hair, my bright red eyes falling shut. Everything was so peaceful here. Soft noises, a breeze warm enough that I took off my tunic for comfort, and especially, time away from link.
I mean sure, link was nice enough, but his kindness and generosity really got old. Solitude is what I was best at.

I couldn't recall the next series of events clearly, but neither me or that stranger were paying attention at the time.
A large body hit me square in the back, sending me scrambling through the air as I tumbled to my fate. But that fate never came, because instead of the ground I landed in a pair of arms.
A soft, deep voice spoke to me
"Looks like I wasn't paying attention there..."
I looked up to see...someone that kind of resembled me... He had messy black hair that a golden laurel was placed in, along with black clothing and the most alluring red eyes...
But what was strange about him was that he had black wings that shone green in the sunlight, like a much larger version of a raven's wings. They were mysterious...beautiful, even.
"Yeah...we both weren't" I responded to his question. He smiled and flew me back up to the tree, sitting next to me.
"I'm dark pit" he told me, stretching his hand out for me to shake. "It's nice to meet you."
I took his hand in my own and shook it.
"Dark link. Thanks for saving me back there"
"Ah it was nothing, it was my fault in the first place..."
I smiled at him, thinking that it wouldn't be a bad thing to get to know dark pit a bit.
"What brings you here?" I asked him
"I wanted to get away from the world. Especially my idiot of a counterpart..."
My eyes lit up.
"Really?! That's exactly why I'm out here!"
From that moment, both me and dark pit knew that we would become very good friends, laughing and making fun of our originals.

A couple months later, me and dark pit had visited eachother at least 4 times a week. No body knew of our friendship, but that's what was the best part.
On a certain day though, dark pit seamed rather nervous when we met. He stayed quiet for most of the time, and only asked me one question...
"Hey, dark link....do you think we could take our friendship to the next level?"
Of course I was confused. "What...like, best friends?"
"We already are best friends..."
"But...anywhere outside of friends would involve...you know...love..."
We stayed silent for a good 5 minutes after that.
"You say that like its a bad thing..."
The dark angel's soft voice alerted me, making me turn around to see him blushing like a ripe tomato
The gears clicked in my head all at once.
"Wait..." I asked "is this your way of coming out to me?"
He nodded
"Yeah...I know it's wrong...but please don't hate me..."
"Why do you think I would hate you?"
Now it was his turn to be surprised.
"What do you mean? You don't hate me?"
"Yeah...you're my best friend, dark pit...I would never hate you..."
For the first time that day, I saw him smile, and that grew even bigger as a moved closer to him and wrapped an arm around his shoulder.
I felt him rest his head on my chest, wrapping his arms around me and snuggling close.
"I love you..." He said softly. A warm blush appeared on my face.
"I love you too..." I reached down and planted a soft kiss on his cheek.
Suddenly, we heard a couple quiet voices behind us
"The shipping intensifies..."
Both of us snapped our heads back to see our lighter halves smirking at us.
"PIT?!"
"L-LINK?!?"
The blonde hero and the brunette angel ran away laughing, leaving me to hold dark pit closer then he'd ever been held before.

And yes, "you say that like its a bad thing" is a quote from dark pit. I just love that line!
