Chapter XVIII

Fast Forward 15 years

It has now been 15 years since Jacobs funeral which mean it has been 15 years since any of them  regained contact. Except for Alix and Tim. This is everyone new life:

Tim and Alix : 

Just after the funeral, Alix told Tim to fuck off and leave her alone. That's what he did. He left her for 5 years. During these 5 years, Alix traveled the world with Jacobs blue penguin. She even wrote him letters for every destination. Once back in the city she would go to his grave, read the letters and tell him everything that happened. She still felt connected to him. She stayed single for the 5 years. Until Tim contacted her and ask to see her. Alix who was alone for a longtime became very close to Tim. She missed having good friends. And 10 years later, they end up together with a little girl called Anna, the name Jacob wanted to name his daughter, if he ever had one. They aren't married. Tim proposed to Alix at least 4 times in 10 years but she always said no, she wanted to stay loyal to Jacob even though he was dead. For her she was married to Jacob and no one else.

Alix became a lawyer and Tim a manager of a supermarket chain. Alix loved her daughter with all her heart. But she was never happy, her life was always missing something. She was with Tim because he was the one who helped her get better but she didn't really love him. Even after 15 years she missed Jacob so much. She lived in this big house near his graveyard. In the end Tim was right, Alix came back to him but she doesn't love him. But he doesn't know that. Jacob was the only personnel she loved. Even after he passed away, she never fell in love again.

Usher and Lexi :

Usher and Lexi stayed in Spain all these years, they fell in love with it, the food, the people, the landscapes. Everything they loved. Compare to Alix and Tim, they did get married. 2 years after Jacobs funeral. They invited Alix and the others but no one came, it was too painful for them to see each other again, it would have brought back to many bad memories. Since that, they have been happily married. They first bought two cats and after 4 years they decided to adopt a dog. And after 15 years, Lexi is finally pregnant with a little boy who is suppose to be born in February. Usher and Lexi were both in real estate. 

Emma :

Emma never got to be with Tim in the end. But she doesn't care because at her university in Canada she met a Canadian boy called Jack who became her best friend. They were best friend for 7 years. Then Jack finally decided to find the courage in him to ask Emma on a date. Emma was waiting for this question since they first met. After their first date, they just fell in love and had live with each other ever since. They where now engaged and waiting for their wedding which was coming in June. They were planing on having loads of kids after their weeding. They were madly in love.

They all created a new life and stopped thinking about the past.
