waking you with kisses

IU's eyes flew open as her alarm started to go off.

She jumped awake and then laid her hands over her eyes in an attempt to block out the sunlight hitting her eyes as it came in through the curtains.

It's morning yet again and she's got a busy day ahead. You're sound asleep beside her; she can hear your soft breaths falling from your lips. You have the day off today and she wished she didn't ever have to leave this bed; that she could spend the entire day right next to you.

However, work calls, and she knows she has so much to get done. So she reached over to turn off the alarm and then turned to look at you.

You lied on your back beside her, lips parted as soft breaths fell from them. You were in a deep and peaceful slumber, only to stir a few seconds later when IU leaned over to press a kiss to the left corner of your lips.

You let out a soft sigh and then hummed contentedly as she kissed along your cheek and down to your jaw.

She moved to hover you, giggling happily as she peppered kisses across your face and watched you open your eyes to meet hers.

The kisses continued, making you feel so loved with every brush of her lips along your skin. From your jaw to your collarbones and then back up to your lips, where she kissed the corners before kissing the tip of your nose.

Even though it was early, only a little after seven am, and you were utterly exhausted from working so hard during your busy week, your eyes looked so bright and sparkly.

"Good morning." IU smiled, only for you to groan when the golden rays of the sun hit your eyes. "I know it's bright and early and I'm so sorry that I woke you. But I wanted to kiss you goodbye before I head out for the day."

"Just stay." You mumbled and tried to pull her closer; so close that she fell on top of you and her face buried in the crook of your neck. Her breath fanned against your skin as she giggled happily.

"I would. Trust me, I wish I could. But I really have to go."

You sighed sadly and looped you arms around her neck so you could bring her in for another kiss and smile against her lips.

"You can go back to sleep. Sleep for as long as your heart desires. I won't be too late, so I'll see you later. Okay?"

"Okay."

She pecked your lips three times before pulling back and tucking you in under the blankets.

She left the room to get ready for the day ahead. She brushed her teeth and changed before slipping on her shoes and heading out of the bedroom, only to freeze on her feet and turn back around to go over to you.

"Sweet dreams, my love. I love you so much." She said and leaned in to kiss your cheek, only for you to take her by surprise and turn your head so her lips landed on yours again.

"Love you too." You mumbled before laying your head back on the pillow. "Have a good day."

"You too," she said and headed out the door, grinning from ear to ear as she walked out and already anticipating coming home to you later.
