You took in the loud cheers coming from your fellow idols and adoring fans in the crowd as you finished your first big award show performance.

It was a big moment for you, one you had dreamt of all your life and it feels so surreal to be standing here right now.

You took a couple of bows before heading backstage as the lights went down and you handed your mic and in-ears off to your staff.

After thanking them kindly, you planned to head to your dressing room to change into your outfit for the rest of the night.

But a familiar face heading towards you stopped you right in your tracks.

It was IU, one of your biggest inspirations and favorite artists ever.

"Hello!" She grinned as she came over to you.

For a second, you didn't quite know what to say because it felt like such a dream come true that she was even standing there in front of you and talking to you.

"Hi!"

She was staring at you with those beautiful brown eyes and your heart pounded against your chest.

Somehow, she was even more beautiful in person.

Her brown eyes sparkled so brightly and her lips were so soft and sparkly from the gloss on them and you understood exactly why everyone always praises her because she truly deserved it.

"I'm-"

"IU. I know."

She laughed before saying,

"You can call me Jieun. I watched your performance! It was amazing. You have such beautiful vocals."

"Thank you so much!"

She smiled and looked into your eyes, noticing the stars inside them.

You seemed to be just as mesmerized by her as she was by you.

"I've been listening to your album on repeat since it came out. I love it very much." She complimented and watched a shy smile pull at your lips, making her giggle again. "You have amazing stage presence and I was so amazed by your energy and... again, your voice is incredibly beautiful. So soft and so pretty."

"That means so much, especially coming from you."

A soft chuckle left her lips and you noticed that her gaze was locked on you, her eyes practically glued to yours.

"You're very pretty too."

Your heart was soaring at this point, your entire chest filled with butterflies as the compliments just kept coming from her.

"Listen, I guess I approached you for more than just to compliment you. I like you. I can't explain why but I just need to get to know you better so I was wondering if you'd like to have lunch tomorrow? Or dinner. It's up to you."

You were convinced you were dreaming at this point.

You pinched your arm but she was still standing there in front of you with the same bright eyes and sweet look on her face and you knew that it wasn't a dream.

You were just living the best life and all of your dreams were coming true right in front of your very eyes.

"I'd love that!"

"Me too." She smiled before holding her phone out for you. "Can you put your number in?"

You took her phone with shaking hands and put your number in and after it was saved, you handed it back to her.

As you did so, your fingers touched hers and the spark that was there almost made your heart burst right from your chest.

"I'll text you. Is dinner good? I know an amazing spot and I'd love to take you there."

"I would love that, it sounds perfect."

"Okay." She grinned before stepping closer to you, her soft lips touching your cheek for a couple of seconds. "See you tomorrow, Y/N. I can't wait to get to know you more."

"I can't wait either," You said as you watched her head back out to take her seat.

And once she was out of earshot, you let out an excited squeal.

Just when you think life can't get any better, it does, and you feel like the happiest girl in the entire world.

You couldn't wait for dinner with her tomorrow; you'll be counting down the hours until you see her again.
