19: explain this

"Why are you here Brandon?" Kai asked sternly as we walked in the cell he was at, chanined to the wall. "Well it hurts a little to know that your sister is getting married and I'm not invited brother" Brandon replied.

"Please, you don't care about family. Why are you truly here?". Brandon dodged Kai's question and turned to look at me, "Who is this beautiful lady?" He asked bitting his lip.

"My girlfriend" Kai replied sternly. We haven't talked about labeling anything, we were just, together I guess you could say.

"You got yourself a catch brother" He replied smirking. I could tell he was getting on Kai's nerves. I grabbed his hand dragged him to the living room, locking Brandon's cell.

Kai's fists were clenched, "Kai, calm down. I bet he is just like you, if we torture him, he won't give us information. Just be patient" I told him, cupping his face.

"Are you sure  I can't punch him in the face?"

"Yes"

"What if I just break his nose a little?"

I smacked his shoulder and shook my head. I sat with him while he calmed down a little and then we went back down to the basement. It looked like Brandon was waiting for us.

I saw Kai furrow his eyebrows in confusion. "What's this?" He asked pointing toward his neck. "Nothing" His brother replied.

Kai got closer to his brother, pulling down his shirt a little, reavealing scars.

"Bro get off of me!"

"Did Joshua do this to you?"

Brandon stayed silent. That was an immediate "yes" for Kai. My eyes soften, I felt bad for them. What they had to go through just because they were born siphons. " I can make them go away, can I make them go away?" I whispered to Kai.

He nodded. I made my way closer to Brandon, slowly lowering his shirt. He flinched at my touch when I ran my fingers across his scars. I put my hand where they were, and chanted a few words.

The red glow of my magic wrapped around my hand as I was healing him. "Thank you..." "Andrea". He smiled. "Thank you Andrea".

Hours passed and we were still in the cell, it was getting late.

"Well, I will let you guy's talk, I will be making dinner" I told them. I walked out of the cell and Kai closed the door for me. "So, what happened?" Elena asked. "I don't know, we haven't gotten information from him other than Joshua abusing him" I explained.

She let out a sigh and nodded, I made my way to the kitchen and started making some food. I was making chicken alfredo pasta and some garlic bread. Stefan was helping me cook the noodles while I was cooking the chicken. We buttered the bread, then put it in the oven to get toasted.

It was late, and everyone finished eating. I served some food for Brandon. "Hey, Im gonna give this to your brother" I told Kai. He nodded and I made my way to the basement.

"Hey"
"Hi"

"I brought you food", I could tell he was tired. I hesitantly unchained one of his hands so that he could eat. "Im not hungry but thanks anyway" He replied.

"Why don't you just go to sleep then" I pointed to the mattress that was on the floor.
"I don't sleep. My mind has the scary capability to be dark and demented."
"You are afraid of your dreams?
"Yes" he said quietly.

"So, if you can't sleep then just eat"
"Why are you so demanding?"He groaned.
"Because I've been through similar, and your brother helped me through it. So I guess you could say I learned some of his strategies" I explained.

"Yeah? What have you been through?" He asked. "That's a story for another day, so eat or go to bed; Night."

"Night".

I went back upstairs and sat next to Kai on the couch, "Hey pumpkin", I smiled and laid my head on his chest. We were watching movies with everyone and some were eating popcorn like children. I just enjoyed it for a while and then slowly dozed off to sleep.

I woke up in bed, Kai was layed next to me. "Goodmorning, want some breakfast?" He asked as he turned to me, "Yes please". He smiled and pecked my lips, he got up and put on a shirt. I went downstairs a couple minutes later to find Kai bringing Brandon out the cell.

"Woah, what are we doing?" I asked. "We are taking Brandon out of the cell", "Are you sure this is a good idea?" I asked. "Yeah, he wont do anything because we made a deal, right brother?", "Right".

I tilted my head for a second and then just made my way to the kitchen. The food was already served and everyone came downstairs to eat. Brandon sat next to Stefan and Caroline. It was quiet, and no one wanted to break the silence that was revolving around us.

Today was one of those days where I was stressed, where I needed a release. I was so focused on drugs I didn't even realize that my magic was flowing around me, or that I dug the knife into my hand, or Kai calling my name trying to bring me back to reality.

"Andie?". I looked over at him still holding the knife as the red glow wrapped around me. "Woah sorry" I said. I got up to wash the blood away, I calmed down and sat back down at the table. Everyone was still staring at me, "Excuse me" I said and went upstairs to my room.

At this point I was looking for anything.
