Chapter 1 - The Surgery

"Doctor Y/N!! Can you please come here!" a screeching female voice echoed through the hospital hallways.
It was quite usual for Y/N as most of her days used to go like this, running through the hospital, checking every ward and patient, performing surgeries , going back to home and then in the mid night, a call would be there for an emergency. Her life was becoming hectic and she wasn't even aware that this lifestyle was ruining her mental and physical health. She was so engrossed in taking care of everyone that she forgot to take care of herself. Her friends were always trying to set her up with someone but used to fail miserably as she always refused to do so. She never dated someone and she never even experienced a traumatic experience but she wasn't convinced with the idea of dating some random dude who would just come to the date to either eat food or her. {if you know what i mean ;) }

Y/N POV

As i was about to step in my cabin, i heard a voice that i didn't wanted to hear right now. It's not that i hate Nurse Mary, it's just that whenever she calls me it means that there is a patient or an emergency. I don't mean to sound like that, i love what i do for a living but nowadays, it is just that my energy is draining and i don't want to accept that i am being hard on myself, but what can i do???....

Author's POV

"Unnie, what happened?" replied Y/N as she saw that  Nurse Mary was panting frantically and was trying to say something but couldn't as she ran all the way from the ground floor to the third floor to call Y/N. " Doctor Y/N a patient is in room no. 204, he suffered from heart attack and right now he is in a fragile condition so we need to take immediate action." Nurse Mary said.
" Okay unnie, can you please ask Doctor  Park to be my subsitute for the cardiologist meeting if he is free?"
"Yes i'd love to!!" Replied Mary while blushing like a tomato.
"Okay, so thanks-" Y/N was unable to complete her sentence as she saw Mary running to inform Doctor Park.
"She really does have a big fat crush on him, atleast someone has a crush!" Y/N thought. "Oh! I better get going!!!"

Y/N POV

As i reached room no. 204, my surgery team was ready with all the equipments and machines necessary for the surgery. I got ready and we began the proccess...

(After 2 hours..)

I removed my gloves and surgical cap after finishing the surgery. It was successful and we did save the person. I came to know that the patient's name was Jeon Seojun and he was the previous CEO of Jeon Corp. but now his son took over the company. He was pretty stressed if his son could run the company on his own and this stress took the form of heart attack, but he is quite stable now.

After going outside the ER, i was met with a middle aged woman and a young woman whom i assumed to be his wife and daughter. As soon as they saw me, they both rushed to me rapidly and started asking some questions.
"Please calm down ma'am, Mr. Jeon is in a stable condition now and he is out of danger" I replied as I saw both of them panicking. The woman took a sigh of relief and said "Oh! Thank you so much doctor, if you weren't here-" she was cut off by me.
"Oh! No ma'am it is my duty and i am very happy that i was able to save him."
"Oh my god! You are such a sweetheart, this is my daughter Jeon Aecha"
"Nice to meet you Aecha! "
"Nice to meet you Y/N" they both said in unison. After a small talk, I was called for a meeting.
"Well, It was really nice meeting you
Y/N. If it is possible can i invite you over for dinner? You have been nothing but sweet and kind towards us!"
"Oh no ma'am there is no need-" I was cut off by Aecha.
"See i am older than you and you have to listen to your unnie!!" Aecha said as she tried to sound intimidating but ended up being cute.
"Arasseo, i will surely come for dinner and you can visit Mr. Jeon after a few hours and only one person at a time. Now i gotta go! Have a nice day!!"
I bowed 90° towards the both of them and rushed for the meeting.

"Ah! she is such a beautiful and sweet girl" said Aecha as she saw Y/N rushing for the meeting.
"Don't you think that we should introduce her to Jungook-"
"Aish mom why are you even comparing Jungkook to her. She is an angel while he is a bastard-"
"Mind your language, sweetie!"
"Whatever, all i am trying to say is that Y/N is an innocent girl while he is the definition of demon! " Aecha defended herself.
"I hate to admit it but you are right.."
"Lets look forward to the dinner shall we?" Mrs. Jeon asked as Aecha nodded.
