Part III - Synopsis

"Do you think we can trust him?" Pink asked Red.

"Of course not. After all, he's a cold-blooded killer - murderers don't feel emotions," Red replied.

"So, then... why did he come to us?"

"If I had the answer to that, we wouldn't be interrogating him, now would we?"

After fleeing SSOUI, Green knows that he has to find a way to save Blue - if that's even possible.

But while he wants to save Blue, he also has to save himself from the vengeful crewmates who cornered him.

And with his half-sister there as well, Green knows that nothing can go according to any plan he could make.

After running from her own thoughts and troubles for so long, Blue ironically finds herself trapped in her own mind.

With no one but a spirit from the other side for company, she has to face her own inner darkness and turmoil in order to regain control.

But getting back control is a lot more complicated than it seems.

With everyone looking to him for guidance, Red is under a lot of pressure to have a plan and know what to do.

But with his friends by his side, nothing can go wrong or get out of hand.

Right?

After the death of her best friend, Pink has secrets starting to unearth themselves.

She's always kept everything locked up inside, where no one can see and no one has to know.

No one has to know about her failures.

But with Whirlpool prying at her and wondering about her mysteries, it becomes harder and harder to not break under the pressure.

Black has always been mute, unable to speak up - metaphorically and physically.

When she hears about Blue from Green and realizes he's telling the truth, she knows she needs to speak up to get the others to side with her.

But most people don't listen to those who are quiet.

Together, they all want one thing - to have SSOUI and Maelstrom taken down.

When SSOUI unleashes their full power, the small band of survivors are forced to flee into space, along with the other astronauts they saved from the slaughter.

While they are safe in space for the moment, time is running out to save Earth from descending into chaos and anarchy.

A/N: so, here's the deal-

Literally a day after I published the Author's Notes, I came down with a bad cold or something along those lines. (No, it's not Covid - or, as one of my professors would say, "the happy C" - but it's still affecting me a lot.)

But somehow, this sickness caused something in my brain that allowed me to write the entire next chapter of Chasing Chaos in one day.

(Maybe I should get sick more often??

*breaks into a lab containing deadly diseases* DO IT FOR THE BOOK.)

The only reason I haven't posted that yet is because I want to look over and edit it when my judgement is completely sound and I'm in a good mindset.

Because right now, my brain feels like it's swimming through honey.

However, I decided to let y'all know I was alive (well, kinda) by posting this, which I can always quickly delete and rewrite when I get better if I find it's s**t.

So, I'm not dead (yet), I'm just feeling like s**t and like I want to keel over and sleep for a month.

(I'm also feeling miserable because I'm completely congested and my throat hurts whenever I say something above a quiet tone, meaning that I can't sing to make myself feel better - which always works otherwise. :( )

With all that being said, Chapter 51 might be a while, because even if I do manage to write it while I'm sick, I have to look it over and edit it when I'm in a good mindset and not in a constant state of exhaustion.

(I have the ideas for Chapter 51, don't worry - I just need to be feeling better.)

For Chapter 51, I will give no spoilers except this phrase: ice bucket challenge.
