Book Three - The Quest For Love

Chapter Seven (Dipper's POV)

Everyone looks at Pacifica stunned. She may be a girly girl,but I've seen her fight off a bunch of skeletal guards and now she's defeated a hydra. She, now apparently our leader, leads us out of the cave as Mermando is sobbing, after discovering that the people the hydra stole are all dead, but why did it keep Pacifica alive?

Before we know it we are back in the underwater city. A tall merman with salt and pepper long hair and beard and a glittering gold crown is waiting for us. We bow in respect as we assume he is the king of this place.

"Very brave." He says. "Mermando, Marcelo, Mermandy, Dipper, Candy, Grenda, Mabel, thank you."

I am shocked that he knows our names and he then stares at Pacifica. "And who are you?"

"I'm Pacifica Northwest, the hydra imprisoned me." She says seriously.

Mabel excitedly says
"Pacifica defeated the hydra!"
The crowd cheers as the king of the merpeople smiles.
"Amazing job land woman! We could use someone like you in our army!" He says.

Pacifica giggles "No thanks I should be getting home."

We swim towards the exit, and then Mabel turns around.
"Wait." She says. "Mermando." She turns to him as she cries. The whole reason we came here was for her to spend time with him.

"Mabel." Candy says "Maybe me you and Grenda can stay with Mermando for a while. Pacifica and Dipper look exhausted so they should get to go home."

Mabel smiles as they descend off together, leaving Pacifica and I alone. We walk back up the cave, finally reaching land. Our boat from Gideon is still docked and we aboard and begin to sail away.

We have a good time until I look over and see that Pacifica has a gun pointed at her head. I stare around me, we are surrounded by monsters. Gremloblins, Manotaurs, Zombies, The Shapeshifter, gnomes, lilliputtians, even Giffany appears on a nearby screen.

Out from behind the monsters steps a familiar face.
"Gideon." I say.
He laughs, "Dipper Pines and Pacifica Northwest. You see you should never have trusted a boat given to you by me! Cameras surround this ship! And after escaping from prison and assembling my army of your enemies with my master Bill ,I knew just where to find you!"
