The mouthwatering aroma of the delicious steak lingered in every corner of Kim Seokjinʼs apartment. Appreciating the small things he had said as he made himself a proper dinner in the celebration of managing life on his own for the past few months.
There was no one he could celebrate with but that didnʼt stop him for jamming to his favourite songs by himself while cooking.
To be frank, there was no specific reason for Jin to treat himself to good food, it was just an excuse to be his usual delightful self and have the luxury of eating expensive cuisine.
He was still in a happy mood while doing the dishes, his lips mumbling his favourite tunes.
His usual upbeat self was pretty exhausted from doing work all day and after taking out the trash, he couldnʼt wait to hit the bed.
Living by himself, on his own expenses was fun if he was honest. It made him feel more independent and free, he didnʼt have to explain himself after spending a bit too much money on stuff.
He didnʼt had to ask someone to make him his favourite food, he didnʼt had to make someone drive him to specific places - he could all of him on his own; however he wanted, whenever he wanted.
And that freedom could only be granted if he finally moved out of his own shell, if he finally got things down by himself and not by the influence of his family and heritage. If he finally learned to fall and get up on his own.
And thus he made the big move.
Kim SeokJin started to live on his own, in a own apartment which he paid rent with his earned money.
Life was going good for Jin, he had to admit. He had imagined moving out to be the toughest journey of life but now, after 7 months, he could proudly say that he was able to dodge every little obstacles in the way.
He was doing a good job at managing everything for which he deserved a pat on his back and this extravagant meal was the first and foremost option.
Because good food makes everything better.
Jin internally cringed at the smell of the trash as he walked outside of his apartment, holding the trash bag as far away from himself as he could.
The sensor light of the staircase above his head flickered a few times before turning on properly, Jin could only do nothing but shake his head at the lack utility maintenance.
Still to this day, after living in this apartment building for months, Jin failed to understand why the building owner didnʼt both to repair shortages and maintain proper facilities.
Even the exterior of the building needed some refurnishing.
If it werenʼt for the residences, people would think it was an old, rundown building waiting to collapse at the mercy of nature.
Judging from itʼs outward condition, who could guarantee that this building could withstand even a small earthquake?
However, the rent was cheap and the location was pretty much the only excellent factor of this place and thus Jin threw away the lavishly living idea and decided to start by something small.
He was barely three steps down the stairs when someone harshly bumped into him, knocking him down on the floor.
Jin cursed out loudly, beginning to stand while rubbing his lower back.
He had barely gotten a glimpse of the other person when he recognised that it was new tenant on the sixth floor.
Jeon Jungkook, wasnʼt it?
