That night, sleep didn't visit him as he stared at the view of the night sky from the window of his room.
He's been contemplating, trying to think of a way to finally shed light to all the questions in his mind.
If only Vante had a journal or diary of some sort, but Taehyung found nothing. He had looked in every nook and cranny but failed to find any leads that could get him one step closer to him.
"He's not the diary type of a guy, I guess." Taehyung murmured to himself as he stared at the moon gracing the night sky with its luminance.
If only he could just go back to his own world and pretend that none of this happened...
Jungkook's image suddenly flashed in his mind. Those raven eyes that seemed to see right through him. Those sinful lips that he had claimed more than once.
Those memories he had shared with him that stirred all sorts of emotions he didn't know he's capable of having.
And just like that, Taehyung knew he couldn't just leave and pretend that everything was nothing bad a bad dream.
With Jungkook in it, even a nightmare could turn into a sweet dream.
"Why is this life so complicated?" Taehyung groaned, slumping his head on the windowsill.
How long had it been since he was just a normal 18-year old boy with no problem to think about?
"I wonder what everyone is doing now? Is someone even looking for me while I'm gone?" Taehyung murmured, stretching his hand towards the sky, reaching out for something he could not touch.
"Am I even being missed?"
He sighed, remembering his friends, the only people he truly cared for in his real life.
With no parents to miss him, nor relatives to care for him, only his friends were really the ones he had in his life.
"That fucker Jackson must be crying now." He chuckled, imagining his friend's crying face.
Somehow, the longing to go back had once again blossomed in his heart.
"Will I ever go back?" He uttered, now staring at the palm of his hand.
If he couldn't come back, would he forever live and eventually die as Vante?
Taehyung snickered. If that were the case, then he would just do anything he wanted instead of burying himself to Vante's boring hobbies like reading and painting.
He sighed once more as he continued to stare at his hand.
And suddenly, just like lightning, an idea hit him that almost made him jump, wide eyes.
Vante had always stayed in the library...
Taehyung quickly headed for the door, heart pounding in both excitement and uncertainty.
If his hunch was right, there could be something in that place. He just felt like there could be something.
Taehyung slowly and carefully opened the door, not wanting to make a sound.
He was halted, eyes meeting Jungkook who was now back to guard him. He thought he wouldn't be able to see his face before he left in the morning.
Jungkook stared at him with those serious raven eyes that seemed to search his soul.
"I could not sleep. I'm going to the library." Taehyung whispered as he stepped outside his room.
He didn't hear him say anything and just followed.
