sorry for all the errors
——

you laid awake next to evan, who was fast asleep. there was a pit in your stomach and you weren't really sure why. hunger? anxiety? guilt? fear? it could be anything.

you quietly sat up, running your hands through your hair and softly sighing.

something felt wrong, you just weren't sure what it was.

you looked at evan, who was peacefully sleeping. he looked so cute.

maybe i'll feel better if i'm with him

you laid beside him, pushing your body against his and holding onto him. he smelled good, and his body was relaxed and comforting.

he moved to face you, still asleep. evan gently wrapped his arms around you and pulled you into his chest. you weren't entirely sure why, but your eyes began to water.

it took a while, but after about ten minutes the tears started falling and it was difficult to keep quiet.

as evan woke from your crying, he tried to piece together what was going on as he was out of it.

"y/n?.." he mumbled.

you jumped a little, frightened that you had woke him up. you felt his arms tighten around you, and he rested his chin on my head.

"it's okay." he cooed, kissing the top of my head.

he was tired, but that didn't matter to him. what mattered was you, he wanted you to be okay.

"evan.." you winced, crying into his chest.

"what baby?"

he always made you feel okay, even when he wasn't sure what he was doing.

"i'm here, just breathe." he whispered.

your sobs got louder, just before your crying began to calm down.

"i'm sorry ev."

"no need." he kissed my forehead. "do you want to talk about it?"

he was sweet for asking, mainly since it was so late at night and he was exhausted.

"i don't know."

"you don't have to, but i'm here if you need to."

"you can sleep, i know you're tired."

you wrapped my arm around him, pulling yourself closer to him. you stroked his back a little, which calmed you more then it calmed him.

"no, don't make this about me."

you weren't sure why, but tears once again filled your eyes.

he shushed you, drawing circles on your back as he tried to calm you.

"i-its just build up." you choked out, pulling your arms to your chest. your eyes were starting to grow tired and dry.

evan didn't say much, but he really didn't need to. his comfort was enough.

evan let go of you, and say uo. from his nightstand he grabbed a glass of water.

"here, sit up." he said softly, pulling you to sit up and tucking you to his side.

he handed you the glass, and you took a small sip. the water made you feel a bit better actually, clearing your throat.

"thank you."

you rested your head on his shoulder, and he held you close after setting he glass back down.

every second your body grew more tired, and evan could feel you becoming limp from the need of sleep.

"you okay?"

"mhm." you groaned, laying back down in bed.

evan laid beside you, and you nuzzled into his arms. the warmth of his body and of the blanket was comforting and made you feel better.

just before drifting off to sleep, you decided to say something.

"evan i'm sorry." you mumbled softly.

"no, it's all okay." he kissed your head, "i love you."

you relaxed further into him, letting him hold you. evan was worried that there was something more wrong, although it really was just built up.

"you promise me your okay?"

sleepily, you moved your head to lay a soft kiss on his lips.

"i'm okay, i didn't mean to worry you."

he smiled, holding you closer and kissing your head as you finally closer your eyes for good.

"i love you, evan."

"i love you." he replied sweetly, closing his eyes for sleep.
