Flashback to the summer of 1985

"Jasmine, be careful!" My mom, Harema, voice calls out through the window of our kitchen. I chase Draco as we run around looking for flowers. A whooshing sound goes past as I see Aunt Bellatrix landing in front of the house. She pays no mind to us as she rushes inside.

"Jasmine, I found a ladybug!" Draco runs over with a tiny ladybug on his arm. He shows it to me knowing it's my favorite critter. I take it from him.

"What should we name her?" I asked looking at him.

"Her? Why does it have to be a her?" He whines. His five-year-old body towering over me in height. "You always decides their gender?"

"Gender?" I look at him confused not knowing the word meaning. He shrugs before running off to go find a lizard. I hear shouting from the house as Aunt Narcissa voice is heard screaming. Draco runs up to me and stands beside me.

"I heard Father mention you-know-whos name," He looks at me seriously. "Mum seem mad that he was talking about him." He walks towards the window peeking in. I crouch behind him doing the same. I let out a yelp when I see Aunt Bellatrix wand to my mother's neck. We stay still listening to the conversation.

"How could you be stupid? They are going to find you! You tortured the Longbottoms, they will send you to bloody Azkaban!" The rooms fills with tension as everyone stare between my mother and Bellatrix.

"I only did it, Herama, because I am not the one turning my back on Voldemort," She hissed pushing the wand deeper against my mother neck. Draco looks at me, grabbing my hand.

"It's okay. Aunt Bellatrix won't hurt her. They are friends and you don't hurt friends." I nod against his shoulder. A stranger lands walking into the house.

"Who is he?" I ask looking at the tall stranger. He walks in and conversate with Bellatrix for a moment before turning towards my mother.

"Harema, who did he tell?" He pulls out his own wand pointing it at her. His voice deepens as he becomes stiff. "Did you ring the alarm for the Ministry?!" He shouts. She turns her head slightly looking at the window, noticing Draco and I.

She nods as she reassures me through her eyes that's everything okay. Draco pulls my arm down from the window, bringing us to a level that kept us from seeing inside the kitchen.

"Oh no, she saw us..." Draco whispers to himself. Screams fill the kitchen as I push my tiny legs up as much as I can to see inside the kitchen, spotting my mom's body on the ground not moving.

"NOOOOOO!" I let out. My tiny legs jump up from the window. I hear Draco chasing after me. I run to my mum's body as Bellatrix and the stranger disappears from the house. Aunt Narcissa attempts to grab Draco as he follows me to my mother's body. I fall to my knees letting out a sob. Draco pats my back crying as well. Aunt Narcissa grabs the both of us into a hug letting her own tears flow.

"Its okay. Its okay. Its okay." She repeats. Just like that my mother is gone.
