The scarlet train came to a halt - finally at its actual destination. As we climbed off of the train, I saw a rather big man at the end of the platform holding a lantern, which glowed lowly, but just enough to make out his friendly face.
He was almost twice as tall as a normal man and at least five times as wide. He looked simply too big to be allowed, and so wild – long tangles of bushy black hair and beard hid most of his face.

I tilted my head slightly, I mean, I had seen a giant before, and I had seen a normal man before. But this was rather odd. Seamus came up beside me, "That's Hagrid. He's a gamekeeper. He is probably one of the loveliest people you will ever meet." He guided me to the track which brought us to a carriage.

"Four to a carriage!" A bony-faced, balding - but still has long greasy hair - shouted as the students filed up. Seamus, Dean, and I climbed into a carriage - after loading our luggage. After another moment, a boy stumbled into the carriage.

"Sorry..." He groaned, pushing himself off the ground. Seamus and Dean laughed, shaking their heads.

"Neville, you okay, mate?" Dean moved over so the boy, Neville, could sit beside him.

"Perfect." He gave him a closed-lip smile before his gaze fell on me. He was a boy, obviously our year if Dean and Seamus knew him. He had green eyes and brown hair - which lay messily around his chubby face and was damp from the rain. He looked at me like he had seen a ghost before quickly pushing his hair out of his face and putting out his hand.

"Neville Longbottom." He gave me a real smile, and I took his hand, shaking it gently.

"India Moon." I let out a giggle at his formal introduction. He took his hand away and nodded.

"She's new, our year. Likes chocolate, favourite colour is blue. Also, it is a brilliant chaser." Dean smirked, looking between Neville and I. The carriage began to move.

"Merlin, she's not a potions quiz you need to study." Seamus chuckled at his friend's intake of the information.

"Or maybe... I'm just a good listener." Dean said matter-of-factly, which led Seamus to snort.

"Maybe you just think she's hot." The comment made Dean throw one of his jelly beans at Seamus' face. I laughed and turned my gaze out the window as the castle came into sight.

"Oh..my... God." I muttered under my breath. It was such a magnificent site. I felt joy travel through my body.

Neville let out a dreamy sigh, "I wish I could see it for the first time again.."

Once we arrived, Dean, Neville, and Seus led me to McGonagall's office. I was told to go straight here once I arrived. They left to go get ready for the sorting ceremony but as I lifted my hand to knock on the door, an older woman, with grey hair tied back into a neat bun, half-mooned glasses and emerald green robes, walked towards me.

"Ah, Miss Moon," She opened the door and gestured for me to walk in, and I did. "I apologise for the delay. I had to deal with a student in the hospital wing." She took a seat behind the large oak, wood desk. I followed her and stood in front of her desk.

"Here is a map of the school," she handed me a map and glanced down taking in my robes - which I changed into on the train - "Perfect, I have to go get the first years, but I think you're capable of making your way to the Great Hall? Perfect." Before I could answer, she left in a hurry, obviously having a lot to do.

After minutes of analysing and studying the map, Mcgonagall gave me. I finally found the Great Hall, the large door lay open, and four long tables held students all in different colours. One green. One red. One blue. One yellow.
