Pregnancy test roulette

- long part ahead! :) -

We had just back to Hogwarts after summer (we are in 5th year now) and me, Lily, Marlene and Dorcas decided it would be fun to do a pregnancy test roulette.

Me: "I've got some in my dorm"

We walked into my dorm and I start digging through my trunk.

Sirius: "what you doing?"

Marlene: "we're bored so we're doing a pregnancy test roulette"

Remus: "what's that"

Dorcas: "we all take a pregnancy test mix them up then look at them"

Me: "found them!"

I opened two boxes ( each box has 2 tests.) All 4 of us finished taking the test and went back into the dorm (were also going to pretend each dorm has its own en-suite bathroom) put the tests in a cup and shook them around. We waited 3 minutes.

Lily: "ready?"

I emptied the cup onto the floor and saw 3 negative and one positive.

Me: "oh shit"

James: "what"

Me: "one of us is pregnant"

Sirius: "WHAT. It better not be you"

Dorcas: "you can count us out" pointing to Marlene.

Me: "why?"

They give me a look raising their eyebrows.

Me: "oh yeah, guess it's down to us Lily"

Lily: "should take another test"

We took another one each and waited, we were about to turn them over.

Sirius: "I really hope your pregnant lily"

Lily: "what!"

Sirius: "well Lorelei's my sister"

Lily: "right"

We turned them over so only me and Lily could look.

Me: "oh shit"

Sirius: "oh shit good as in your not pregnant or oh shit as in your pregnant"

Me: "oh shit as in I'm pregnant" turning the test over

Remus: "What!"

Marlene: "come on Lily this will be uncomfortable enough" Marlene, Dorcas and Lily left

Sirius: "your taking another test!"

Me: "might need 10 litres of water, I'm all peed out"

Sirius stormed out shouting "MINNIE I NEED 10 LITRES OF WATER"

I saw James sat on my bed with his head in his hands. I walked over took his hands away and sat on his lap.

James: "your-your"

Me: "yep"

James: "h-how"

Me: "how'd you think"

James: "right, but we used protection"

Me: "condoms are only like 97% effective"

I could tell James was getting worried and then I heard:
"IVE GOT THE WATER" and moved off James' lap.

Me: "Jesus fucking Christ I don't actually need 10 fucking litres"

Sirius: "I don't care, drink till you need to pee"

I downed 2 litres of water and then took yet another test. After 3 minutes Sirius turned it over and saw the two lines.

Sirius: "you are pregnant"

Me: "you think"

Sirius: "who's the dad?"

Me: "I should um probably tell him I'm pregnant before I tell you who it is"

Remus: "right"

I mouthed to James to meet me at our spot by the black lake in 10 minutes. I took all three tests and went to Minnies office.

Me: "Minnie?!"

Minnie: "ahhh miss black what can I do for you"

Me: "I'm pregnant"

Minnie: "what?!! I'm guess that's what mr black wanted 10 litres of water for"

Me: "yep made me take 3 tests"

Minnie: "I'm guessing mr potter is the father"

Me: "what- I- how?"

Minnie: "I see the way you look at each other I'm not stupid"

Me: "what am I going to do"

Minnie: "well if I'm right you won't be 9 months till may right" I nodded that seemed right I couldn't be more than a month pregnant " you can give birth here, then when you come back we can put a cot in your dorm, allow the baby to go into classes with you but when I'm not teaching I'll look after it"

Me: "thank you!! Oh and don't tell anyone even dumbledor at least till I have been and had an ultrasound"

Minnie agreed then I made my way to the black lake, I saw James sat there looking off into the view.

Me: "James? Love?"

James: "what are we going to do?! I can't look after a baby we're still in school!"

Me: " I know, I just got back from Minnies office. We worked out a way"

James: "what is it?"

Me: "I'll give birth here in may then when we come back, there will be a cot in the room the baby can come to classes with us and Minnie offered to look after the baby when she's not teaching so it's not in every lesson"

James: "o-okay but I'm scared darling you know how irresponsible I can be"

Me: "I know I'm scared to but we can do this, together. We won't be alone, we'll have Remus and Sirius. Shit we have to tell Sirius your the father"

James: "exactly"

Me: "don't worry, he'll get over it"

James: "yeah"

- 3 months later -

Me and James were lying down on my bed in our dorm after getting back from the first ultrasound. James had his eyes glued on the ultrasound, I couldn't help but smile a few happy tears hit my cheek.

James: "you okay darling?"

Me: "yeah, just pregnancy hormones"

James moved his head so it was lying on my chest just above the bump, he started talking to the baby. I played with his hair as he talked to the baby.

James: "Daisy what If Sirius walked in we still haven't told him"

Me: "doesn't matter if he walks in then he knows"

James: "okay"

James fell asleep on my chest I kept playing with his hair till I fell asleep, somehow Sirius didn't notice.
