The school was preparing for an anniversary within two weeks. The entire compus was to be cleaned head to toe so we spent most of our time doing this general clean up.There was no escape since names of those who worked were recorded and those who didn't work were severely punished.

And when I say severely,I mean severely. They were locked in a small room and forced to rewrite short story books using an old school typewriter within a given period of time.If you didn't finish on time you'd have your ass wooped and be given a plot to weed on the school pinishmebt field.

This school was really hell on earth but they were strictly displined. The goal of the school was not only to educate but reform. They were famous for taking in young girls like me and producing elegant, well mannered, displined and brave ladies.

This was why I was excited to be accepted into a the school but I didn't know wasn't all fun and games.Well as the saying goes,no pain,no gain. All I had was the hope that I'd be out of it soon and might even look back and be thankful for the woman they made out of me.

It was just a day to the school's anniversary celebration and St.Augustine Senior High was invited to join as celebrate since technically they were our boys school.Excitement was written over the faces of everyone. Some of our senior's boyfriends attended that school so they were happy to meet them once again.

The day of the celebration finally arrived. The entire school was beautifully decorated with red and white decorations.Even the flowers planted in almost every corner of the school were beautifully trimed. The school was really glowing.

The chosen look for the seniors in third year students, was a white armless dress, white heels and purse, hair neatly combed, curled and pinned in a way to let it fall on their left shoulder with a white flower hairpin on the right. And white framed sunglasses to add a finishing touch.

For those in second year students, was a red one arm dress, red heels and handbag, neatly combed hair allowed to fall straight on their back and a red hat on the left side almost covering the left eye.

For we the freshmen, was a white top with a pair of red pants, red sneakers with white stripes, hair held up in a pony tail with a red bow and white and red hair pins.

We all assembled in the hall and St.Augustines were seated on the left side of the hall, all dressed up in black suits. To tell the difference between thier third, second and first year students was very difficult since they were all dressed the same.

The celebration started off with the headmistress giving a speech. She was a brown skined woman with dark eyes anddark hair pinned up in a bun behind. She was elegantly dressed in a cream coloured women's suit and a pair of black shoes.

The head girl who wore a red women's coat on her white dress to make a difference, also gave a short welcoming speech after the head mistress.

After the speech, the DJ started to play some music and the party along with socialization began. We the freshmen students were hardly socializing with the boys cause of the seniors.

Whenever a first year student tries to approach a guy,the way the seniors would look at you would send shivers down your spine and make her slowly back away and remain in her seat.Even if a guy approaches any of us,they still looked at us with a warning gaze.

I sat there with Vero and five other girls in my class we made friends with. They were Grace Johnston,Juanita Adams,Emily Smith,Olive Daniels and Ruth Stimson.Grace and Emily had light skin, brown hair and brown eyes.Juanita,Ruth and Olive were brown skined with dark eyes and dark hair.

We sat there chating and having our own little fun.I got up,went to grab a drink when suddenly I felt a hand on my shoulder.I turned and to my surprise,I saw no one.I took a can of pepsi cola and returned to my seat.

I told the girls what happened and they said maybe the person mistook me for someone or was playing a prank on me.

The party was about to come to an end and the DJ was playing a romantic song for the lovers to dance to.

The girls and I watched as couples danced on the dance floor flood.Suddenly I felt someone was watching me but i turned to find no one.I got up to get some fresh air when I pumped into a guy."Excuse me",he said as he rushed passed me,discreetly handing me a piece of paper.

I turned to as  he was and but he was long gone.Written on the note was his number but without a name.He also asked me to text him.I was in pure confusion and couldn't get my mind off it the rest of the night.

Who was he and why did he ask me to text him?
Was he the one who touched my shoulder?
Was this a prank?
I didn't understand.
