Ch - 6 | Bear-In-The-Hole

Morning comes as I look out my window to see the bright sun. I mumble a bit looking at my phone. It's reads 10:45..... wait..... Something clicks in my head as I quickly get ready putting on my uniform doing my hair until I look at the collar that's laying on my desk. I stare at it for a second as my fists clench in frustration.... I walk over and put it around my neck as I quickly run out the door.

As I arrive I run into class as the teacher gives me a stern look before asking "Why are you late Miss (l/n)" I just stare at the class nervously "S...sorry I slept in..." the teacher sighs before waving her hand telling me to sit. I take my seat where Yumeko just smiles at me, a little bit of blush appears on my face as I focus on the lesson.

After class was done Yumeko asks me "Are they treating you well?" I look at her confused for a second until I realize what she means. She's talking about the student council..... "yeah.... so far I've really only talked too the President and Vice President..." Yumeko looks at me with curiosity "Isn't the thrill of loosing everything so enjoyable"
I just turn to her and stare. "I..i....... no it's not... it's terrible that people are treated as lesser beings...." Yumeko just smiles a bit her eyes glowing a small bit. "Then why come to this Lush garden of risk~?"
Yumeko scares me as I stare at her. "I...I..." I look down in defeat knowing I can't avoid this my entire life.... "I was forced to by my parents..." Yumeko just looks at me puzzled "I guess that explains why your so different from everyone els" I smile a bit. "Thanks Yumeko.." Yumeko just instantly death hugs me "Y...Yumeko-!?!?!"

After that I see the time and realize I'm supposed to be in the council room by now... "sorry Yumeko... I have to go" she nods before telling me bye and she starts to smile. I quickly walk out running to the council room. When I get there I quietly open the door though No one seems to be there except a black haired women.... who I thinks name is Midari???
She looks over to me and says "Hey you" I just nod in response though she starts to look at me confused. "So you just going to stand there like a idiot or are you going to walk over here?" I mumble a small bit before walking towards her "what do you ne-" She just puts a something on your head as a laughs comes from her mouth. "Now your truly a house cat-!" I touch the headband that she put on my head and feel.....cat ears-! My face instantly heats up turning a bright pink color "I...I'm not a cat-!" Midair pats my head gently "Well you are wearing a collar Arn't you?" A teasing grin appears on her face which irritates me. I just cross my arms looking away from her. Why am I getting flustered?!?!
The entire council walks in as the meeting starts. I notice Itsuki isn't here. "Wheres Itsuki?" The student council treasurer, Kaede fixes his glasses before saying "A house pet like you shouldn't get caught up in the council's business" I glare at him though Kirari speaks up "Now now Kaede, Be nice to the Kitten. She only asked a simple question" a small grin appears on Kirari's Face making Kaede sigh "Itsuki lost a gamble to Yumeko Jabami excluding her from the council" I notice he fixes his glasses again. "What do you mean excluded??" Kirari speaks up to answer my question "She was only apart of this council under Kaede's recommendation" I stand there irritated and instantly speaking my mind "Why does a gamble determine her seat in the council-!! So what if she lost doesn't having her give the council benefits-!!" Everyone in the room is silent but Kaede speaks up "She gave us no Benefits, so she has no need of being here" I glare at him as Midari and Yumemi stare at me.

Midari comments with a grin "looks like the cats got some claws after a-" Though Kirari interrupts her "Your all dismissed except for (y/n) there's something important we need to discuss" All the council starts leaving as Midari looks back at me and gives me her crazy smile before walking out. I just glare at Kirari as she walks towards me "You know kitten you shouldn't talk with such disrespect in your voice" I just grit my teeth at her "Don't call me kitten.." a smirk appears on Kirari's face as she grips my chin tightly "Are you sure your one to be making demands~" I just mumble a bit "Remember you belong to me Kitten so be thankful the council and the entire school are treating you better then other house pets. I'm speechless at this though Ririka still in the room speaks up "Kirari stop Harassing (y/n)" Kirari just turns around to look at her. "Hmm why's that, is there a reason to stop?" Ririka just goes quiet before responding "(y/n) your dismissed" I look at her for a second before quickly leaving the room as Sayaka runs past me. As I leave I walk down the hall I notice Mary looking angry.... she seems to be walking from The Traditional Culture Research Club. My curiosity got the best of me as I walk in seeing Yumeko gambling YURIKO-!! I start to panic before I notice the look on Yumeko's face she gives me a look before saying "Your Methods are despicable" I look at the dealers shocked look but Yuriko seems composed..... I'm very confused about what's happening though Yumeko responds "Excuse me..?" Yumeko has the same expression as she has before continuing with her sentence "Much like a piece of shit" The dealer bursts out saying "Yuriko please have her escorted ou-" she seems to stop at the sight of Yurikos expression, and to be honest it kinda scarred me too...... "That was but some trifling jesting" the dealer just smiles a bit nodding but that smile doesn't last long "Ah, In any case, that was quite unfortunate. I was sure the sword would land on two, four, or ten. But that doesn't seem to be the case. You get "two, four, and ten in", do you not?" Yumeko's serous vibe goes away and a warm smile appears on her face and puts  up both of her hands as if holding two invisible numbers "And if you consider the even numbers, six and eight are missing! Just like there's a screw missing in your head!" Yumeko covers her mouth and starts laughing. I just look confused at her noticing the guy Rayota is also very confused. "What a coincidence! Right, Suzui?" The dealer looks at Yumeko with shock and a bit of disgust. I start to look over to Yuriko and notice her head is down as she's taking deep breaths... trying to calm herself down? But she instantly lifts her head up and smiles "Now then, Let's us continue" I sit down on the floor next to Yumeko as she smiles at me. I closely watch as the game continues. The dealer throws the swords in the cup as Yuriko starts to play her chips playing them resourcefully I feel Yumiko nudge me a bit as I see the dealers expression looking towards Yumeko's chips??? I take a look then my eyes widen. As I whisper to her "Y....Yumeko-! W...what are yo-!" She looks at me with her soft eyes and I stop talking letting her speak. "Nishinotouin, I apologize if I offended you in any way by what I said earlier. I was simply saying what ever came to mind so I could bet everything on this number, so please do not hold it against me." Yuriko stats shaking "W...why" which I  notice a smile on Yumeko's face "Why you ask? Well, of course, it's because you are cheating" I look at Yuriko in shock "h...huh?!?!" They were cheating?!?! I clench my fist in anger as Yumeko continues "Indeed. Please look at the dealer's right hand. Does she not appear to have moles?" I squint my eyes mumbling "she does..." Yumeko looks at me for a second then looks back towards Yuriko "To have society membership inflict bodily self-harm just so you can cheat on this game" Yuriko face changes from calm and composed, to scared and terrified..... Yumeko starts a to raise her voice "The stakes are completely uneven-! This is not a fair game-!" A smirk appears on Yumeko's face "Let's us experience the same fear. I'm betting forty chips and if the sword lands on my number and the Verdict is life, 2 billion 170 million yen" I sit there shocked as Yumeko stands up leaning in-front of Yuriko's face. It truly is life or death" Yumeko's eyes start glowing a deep red "Now let's lose ourselves gambling-!!" The dealer looks sacred holding onto the cup before the cup was lifted the door opens as a silver haired women speaks "Excuse us" Yuriko mutters "M....Miss president-! why are you here..?" I look at the president with a face of mixed feelings "This looks like quite the interesting development. The stakes are high so we definitely want to avoid any trouble." Yuriko pleads "Y-you don't need to trouble yourself with this. I can handle something this trivial on my ow—"the president grabs Yurikos face and looks at the dealer "Shut up and revel the board" once the board is reveled the dealer yells "Life on 10, Death on 7. The verdict for life is Yuriko who get 5 chips. The game is over" Ryota looks star struck "Y...your kidding" the president looks at Yuriko saying "You're quiet lucky, Arn't you, Yuriko? On the other hand she looks at me and Yumeko "Your tired your hardest but you were unlucky in the end" Yumeko just looks at the president with curiosity "was the is a Bear-In-The-Hole play?" I start thinking bear in the what?? But I know it must be a form of cheating.... before I could finish my thought Kirari just smirks responding "well who knows" I glare at Her as her and some of the other council members leave though she stops and looks towards me "Oh and Kitten, make sure to come to school early tomorrow" I'm just speechless as Yumeko and Rayota look at me In confusion but I just nod agreeing with her statement. I mumble "this can't be good....."
