Friends Or Lovers?

Chapter 2

Okay so l want to tell this in the beginning only to avoid any confusion that karan is not there in my story nor was Sonakshi engaged to anyone. Rohit's ex gf is Raima ,in my story she is not coma didi nor will she even be there in the story . Here Rohit and her broke up a few years back due to compatibility issues.

Sona.....
Hearing her name Sonakshi turned back to look at the person .There was an unreadable expression on her face, whether she was happy or sad couldn't be figured out.

Sona: Armaan.......
She stood up

Armaan : Kaisi ho Sona?
He came towards her and was now standing in front of her

A lone tear escaped Sonakshi's eyes. Armaan removed it with his thumb
Sona: Main thik hun... Tu-tum kaise ho?
Armaan: Main bhi thik hoon
Sona : Tum yaha?
Armaan: Wo actually ek meeting ke liye aya tha
Sona: Oh India wapas kab aye?
Armaan: 1 mahine pehle hi wapas aya
Sona: Mujhe bataya kyu nahi ki tum wapas aa gaye ho ...

Witnessing all this Rohit had a lot of questions in his head but he decided to keep quiet because he felt the tension in the air and something else too which he didn't understand or rather didn't want to understand.

Sona was carried away by emotions .
She soon realised that Rohit was there and wanted to change the topic.

Sona : Armaan this is Dr. Rohit... Sorry Surgeon Rohit Sippy . India's best youngest cardiac surgeon 😄😚

Sona: And Rohit this is Armaan.. Armaan Sharma an old friend of mine

Saying this she gave a look to armaan a ' only friend right? ' kind of a look with a lot of emotions in her beautiful eyes.

Rohit and Armaan shook hands and greeted each other.

Armaan : Tum dono enjoy karo I'll go back to my meeting
Sona : Ya sure 🙂😊
Armaan: Mein tumhe baad mein....
Sona understood that he was going to say that he would call her . So she cut him off in the middle and gestured  him yes with her eyes.

Sona turned around and sat on the chair. Both had their dinner,Sona didn't say anything through out their dinner.
Rohit wanted to ask a lot of things but he understood that it was not the correct time and thus did not say anything.
Both of them were now standing outside the restaurant. Ravi arrived with the car , both got inside and Ravi drove the car. During the car journey they talked about some normal stuff and now Sonakshi was also in a better mood. Rohit didn't ask her anything about Armaan because firstly he didn't want to pressurise Sona and secondly he didn't want the conversation to take place in front of a third person.
Rohit: (Ye Armaan kaun hai? Usne Sonakshi ko Sona bola aur jis tarah se dono baat kar rahe the .... Lekin Sonakshi ne to bola ki wo uska purana dost hai. Kya wo dono sach mein dost hai? Ya kuch aur.....)

The car stopped and Rohit came out of his thoughts.

Sona : Mera ghar agaya 😊
Rohit : Itni jaldi?
Sona : Matlab
Rohit : Matlab kuch nhi..... Mein tumhe tumhare ghar tak chor ke aata hun
Sona : Nahi Rohit mumma dekh legi to kya hoga... Tumhe to pata hi hai na ki wo tumhe kitna pasand karti hai🙈
Rohit : Acha... Toh phir tumhare sath car ke bahar to aa sakta hu na ya fir isme bhi problem hai?
Sona : Are nahi nahi.
She chuckled 🤭

They both came out of the car and stood behind it.

Sona : Thank you Rohit aaj mujhe bohot acha laga
Rohit: Thank you kyu keh rahi ho...tum mere liye kitna kuch kar rahi ho Sona.....kshi . Tum nahi hoti to pata nahi mein kya karta. Aur waise bhi pyaar aur dosti mein no thank you 😄

Sonakshi smiled and also blushed at the same time. But obviously our dear Rohit only saw her smiling and didn't notice her blush 😒🤦‍♀️

Rohit : Umm Sonakshi mujhe kuch puchna tha.....
Sona : Haan pucho
Rohit: Armaan kaun hai?
Sona: Maine bola na um woh... Um mera purana dost hai
Rohit : Sirf dost?
