You stared at him with your sad lonesome eyes. You wish you were her, she was stunning and she had everything you ever wanted. You wanted him, you wanted Noriaki Kakyoin, as much as you hated her you knew they were perfect together. So you silently sat and stared at them with a storm of sadness flourishing in your eyes. She sat on his desk with his arm around her waist. She played with his hair while they talked to their friends. You felt someone shove you, ending your short depressive episode.

"What the hell?" You muttered.

It was your childhood friend, Jotaro. Jotaro was a tall, scary looking guy that nobody wanted to be around. He was a delinquent who smoked a lot and had a bad reputation.
"You starin' at that guy again?" He grunted.
You didn't want to admit it because you knew you would never hear the end of it. Jotaro was nice to you because you've been friends forever, but he was incredibly blunt. You wanted to leave the room before you started crying because you could never have him. The boy you've always wanted. You stood up and looked at them again.

"Wanna go ditch and smoke?" You asked quietly, keeping your eyes on the couple.
He grunted in response, and you both walked out of the room. You heard your homeroom teacher yell at both of you to come back, but Jotaro shot an annoyed glare and the teacher quickly walked away. As you both walked out of school, Jotaro took a cigarette pack out of his pocket. He put one in your mouth and another in his mouth. You took out your lighter and lit both of the cigarettes. A ritual you both shared.

It was quiet, the sound of the chain on his coat and his heavy footsteps filled the air. You thought about him again, you smiled and took a long drag from your cigarette. Then you thought of her, and felt your heart shatter. You kept walking with Jotaro by your side. You threw your half done cigarette to the ground. You took Jotaro's hand and held it. His hands were large and muscular. He looked at you with a dull expression, you looked back with sadness in your eyes.

"What's wrong with you woman?" He said, breaking eye contact. You shrugged your shoulders and kept walking. You tightened your grip on his hand while he took out another cigarette. You pulled it from his mouth and he glared at you.

"Holly might be outside" You spoke softly, letting go of his hand. He snatched it from your hand and you both made it to the gate of his house. Holly was outside sweeping the dirt from the entrance and waved at both of you. She had a beautiful smile and you wondered how she put up with Jotaro's rudeness. You waved back and made your way inside. You didn't bother telling your parents you skipped school or where you were at.
You both walked into Jotaros room, the strong smell of tobacco filling your nostrils. You laid on his bed and sighed. He told you to scoot over so you did. You laid your head on his chest wishing it was Kakyoin's. He didn't say anything he just stared at you with his ocean blue eyes.

    "Get off," He said bluntly.

You looked at him and you moved your head. You stood up quietly and took a shirt from his closet. It smelled like clean laundry which made you smile. You wondered what he smelled like, maybe cherries or vanilla or nothing at all. You took off your uniform shirt and put the new one on. You grabbed a book from Jotaro's desk and climbed back onto the bed. Jotaro stared at you and said "You've been reading that book the last few days, do you like it?"

You hummed in response and took the lighter out of your school bag, hinting that you wanted another cigarette. Jotaro sat up and pulled out the small carton. You opened the window because you knew Holly didn't like it. You guys smoked in the house. You crawled to the opposite side of the bed and Jotaro once again put the cigarette in your mouth, you lit his then yours. You stayed by him and opened the book to where you last left off. Jotaro wrapped his arm around your shoulder and you started to read. While reading your mind wandered back to the red haired boy.

You wished he was yours. You finished your cigarette and threw it on the ashtray by Jotaros bed and you kept reading. Your eyesight slowly fading in and out until you fell asleep with his arm around you.

You dreamt of him. You both were in your room, lying down on your small bed. You were on top of him while he was below you. You both were talking and he actually cared for you. "You love me, right? More than Hanako right?"
"Of course I do." He whispered quietly. You gave him a little kiss and you whispered "I love you" over and over again. He held your hands and supported your back with his knees.

You woke up to Jotaro's light snoring. You rubbed your eyes, disappointed he wasn't Kakyoin. It was okay though, you looked at the small round clock near his desk. 3:42 pm. You stood up carefully, removing his arm from your shoulder. You took a deep breath and took off his shirt. You started at your body with the large round mirror against the wall. You shuddered and took your uniform shirt from the floor. You looked out the window, greeted with the soft sound of the rain hitting the window. You grabbed a coat from Jotaros closet and put it on. You pulled up your socks and picked up your school bag.

You scribbled a quick note saying youre going home and you took a coat. On your way out you walked into the kitchen to say bye to Holly. She asked you to sit down and have some tea with her. You nodded and smiled. She made you a cup of coffee because she knew you didn't like tea.
"How are you and Jotaro sweetie?" She said smiling. You took a sip of your warm coffee and you said good. It was quiet but she continued. "Do you have a crush on Jotaro? You guys seem very close" You looked up at her and shrugged your shoulders. You never thought about Jotaro like that. He was your best friend but the more you thought about it you realized you guys did a lot of things normal couples would do. "I'm not very sure Mrs. Kujo" you said after a while.

She nodded and said "I think you guys would be perfect for each other" and you smiled. You guys both started talking and after a while you said your goodbyes. As you walked out of the house, you grabbed an umbrella and zipped up the coat you borrowed. On your walk back home, you thought about Kakyoin. He was always on your mind no matter what you were doing. You stared at the houses on the huge residential street by your home. You sighed wishing you weren't alone. Then you saw him.
