A woman in her teenage years was on top of a roof-top, her back facing the crescent moon, as a man with black locks stood in front of her, locking eyes with each other shivering at the breeze that hugs their exposed skin that was not covered by their sleeved clothes.

People who would see them would ask 'were they gonna commit a lover suicide?'

The answer was "No"

The girl in front of the standing man had black hair with a pair of light hazel eyes that were staring into his pair of dark brown ones, eyes that yield happiness, and a smile that can shine through the darkest nights.

"We're almost free, freedom awaits us" she breathes in and twirls around, such a carefree attitude everyone would want to get their hands on

"I suppose so" the man acknowledges with a small smile "We're just gonna wait a little longer for our freedom" the girl looked at her significant other, or would they say their soulmate, with a face of hope, hope that tomorrow would be a better day, a day where their world wouldn't be surrounded with: black and white and splashes of crimson

"Akio, if ever our freedom comes tomorrow, the day after tomorrow or soon into the future" she started as she held Akio's hand

"We'll be together okay?" She smiles and raises her pinky for him to intertwine hers with his "promise?"

"Promise" he smiles as he intertwined their fingers together, "We'll live in a small house in the suburbs, have a pet cat, and plant flowers," he says as he hugged her tightly as if she were about to vanish in a blink of an eye, soon after the sound of sprinting rang through their ears before-

-a clean metal sword pierced through his chest, her worried face flashing through the pristine metal, blood was coming out of his mouth as he pushed Reiji away from the tip of the sword, Reiji looks at the man she loved covered In his blood, tears threatened to fall as she ran to Akio only to be stopped by him mouthing to her: "leave, quick"

The brunette's eyes widened as the attacker comes close to her with a sword on their hands that was coated with Akio's blood, a wicked grin plastered on their face

Coming closer and closer, her back was pressed onto the railings while the cold metal touches her exposed neck sending electric shivers down her spine, it was game over for the both of them, Reiji smiled once more confusing the attacker as she plummets off the building.

"Maybe freedom doesn't wait for the both of us Akio"

she thinks to herself as the violent wind rang past through her ears

"Our hard work all disintegrating with us not achieving what we want"

Reiji smiles one more time as she felt the ground close to her falling form, a falling form so graceful that it would be mistaken by the naked eye, that it looked like autumn leaves swaying away from its branches to be found on the ground, crushed and stepped on by leaving just pieces or crumbles of it, like crushing humans hopes dreams and their withering will to live.
