𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐞

I awoke to my head pounding and my alarm going off, that's when Niall burst into my room massaging his head

"Can you turn that off my head is pounding like crazy!"

I did as he wanted but when I saw what I named the alarm I jumped up

'Get ready for work'

"Shit I've got work today!" I shouted and I hopped around my room pulling my trousers up

"But you're really hungover, you can't go to work," Niall stated the obvious 

"I can't lose my job Niall, I sort of need to pay for this place!" I shouted at him. Something now I regret

"I? I help pay for this place too you know!" He yelled at me

"Yeah like, 5 pounds! You don't even have a job!" I yelled back putting my shirt on

"I'm trying and you fucking know that Liam!" 

Niall never swore. I've messed up but I can't back down now, I'm not like that

"If you really were trying why don't you have one then!"

Stop Liam just stop!

"You know what I should have known you were a dick from the moment I met you!"

That hurt

"Ohhh so me allowing you live here when you had nowhere else to stay is being a dick, If I'm a dick god knows what you are!"

Liam stop! Liam stop! You're going to regret this later!

"Fuck off!" Niall shouted as I placed my last shoe on

"Alright fine, I will fuck off!" I roared as I made my way to the door

"BYE!" I shouted for the last time

"BYE!" He shouted back and then I slammed the door

Everything fell silent. Normally at this time, there would be at least some noise but nothing. Seconds, after I had that thought sobs that I knew, came from the other side of the wall

 I wanted to say I was sorry but I was going to be late for work 

I wish I was late for work

Niall POV:

Seconds after he slammed the door I broke down in tears. I liked Liam a lot but now I think it's pretty obvious how he feels towards me

I prayed that he'd come in and say he was sorry but all I got was retreating footsteps 

I wanted to leave but then I didn't. I wanted to cry more but then I didn't. I wanted to have feelings for Liam but then I didn't

I didn't know what I wanted

I only knew one thing. I wish this fight never happened

I chose to pack my things and leave. I didn't know how long I was going, I really didn't want it to be long. A piece of paper in my room caught my eye and I decided to write Liam a note so he would know where I would be but I doubt he cares

Why would someone care about me?

Liam POV

"I've messed up! I've completely and utterly messed up haven't I?" I asked Ember. Ember is the old woman that works with me at the coffee shop, well actually she owned it. She is so kind and understanding that if I just been late and explained it to her she'd be okay with it and I wouldn't have risked the one person in my life who I cared for most

"No dear you haven't, I'll let you off a little early today so you can tell your Niall you're sorry and you didn't mean the words you said," She said softly

"Thank you but what if it's gone? This whole friendship. Everything" I asked with my voice breaking at 'Everything'

"If you are so worried about this Liam you can go now if you like?" She suggested

"I would but I can't afford to miss any more hours at work, I won't be able to pay my rent" I didn't know what to do

"It's okay I won't pay you any less, now go apologise to your Niall" She smiled widely at me. I did as she said. I left through the back as it got me home a little quicker and time meant everything to me now

I arrived home and called out Niall's name instantly

"Niall! Niall! Niall whe-" I called out but stopped when I saw a piece of paper with writing on the table near the door. I didn't want to pick it up but I had to

'Hi Liam, I've gone to stay with Harry for as long I need to. Don't ask where he lives because I won't tell you. I need time away from your apartment. Niall :)'

He thought of it as my apartment now
