"Real name?"

"Unknown"

"Age?"

"Estimated around 25 to 30"

"Last known location?"

"Titanium Nightclub around 11pm yesterday"

"Height?"

They all turned to Yaya, who had an empty look on her face. Staring at nothing, which was a bad habit she unfortunately developed ever since her husband went missing.

Ying took it upon herself to pull her back to reality by holding her hand.
Thank goodness it worked.

"What?"

Yaya looked back at her teammates, who were all looking at her with the all too familiar concern etched on their faces.

"Sorry. What was the question again?"

"The Shadow Hunter's height?"

"Oh" She recalled that night, trying to estimate the height of the man. He was taller than her, that's for sure.

But his height didn't overwhelmed her like some men did. Rather, it made her feel comfortable and familiar.

Too familiar.

"Estimated around 165 to 170"

Fang nodded and typed into his tablet. He looked up towards her again, opening his mouth to ask a question but closing it again as if hesitating.

Yaya decided it was better if he asked so they could go through this quickly.
"What is it, Fang?"

Fang contemplated before finally asking her the question.
"Can you describe his physical appearance as detailed as possible?"

Yaya thought for a moment. Shadow Hunter wasn't bulky, rather, he was quite lean. Even so, he was definitely fit, as she witnessed his physical prowess countless of times.

She had never seen his face, as it was always covered by a mask and dark glasses. His hair was usually hidden by a hoodie.

Except for that one time Yaya witnessed the hoodie accidentally slipped off of his head as he vanished into the shadows.

"Lean, but definitely fit. He has dark hair, but I'm not sure whether it's actually brown or black"

Fang nodded once again, typing the information into the tablet. Then, he continued going through the list of what little information they had on their new adversary.

Shadow Hunter didn't appear until a few months ago. She remembered then, when she herself was chasing another power sphere thief who captured a power sphere throughout the dark alleys of the city.

She almost had her hand on the thief, until a figure appeared out of nowhere from the shadows.

Stabbing the thief right in front of her in a few seconds.

Leaving the thief retching in pain with blood stains on the pavement before vanishing into the shadows.

With the power sphere with him.

She was left staring dumbfounded before her other teammates arrived moments later, shocked to see the bleeding thief and proceeded to shake her to her senses.

"What happened?"

"He needs to see a doctor now"

"Why?"

Yaya looked at her friends with pure mortification in her eyes. "We have a new enemy"

This enemy would start sabotaging their every mission, always one step ahead of them in each rescue mission. The team decided to call him Shadow Hunter, as his rare appearances were always in the shadows as he hunted down every power spheres TAPOPS was supposed to rescue.

To be frank, his appearance was so rare, that only Yaya has ever seen him.

Odd.

"Yaya!"

Her consciousness snapped back to the present.

Damn. She lost focus again.

"Yes, Captain?"

Fang looked at her, underlying sadness she was getting oh too familiar with in his eyes. Almost quickly though, he cleared his throat purposely before asking.

"Anything else you want to add?"

Yaya shook her head. "Nope"

She knew why Fang looked sad when she called him Captain.

Fang turned off his tablet and stood from his seat. "I guess that's all for now. I'll send the updated reports to the Commander"

They all gave him a short reply of okay and a salute as Fang left the room.

Gopal stretched as he stood up from his seat. "Well. I'm going to cafeteria. You ladies want me to order something for you?"

Ying looked at Yaya, who was back to staring at nothing. She whispered softly. "We're good"

Gopal nodded in understanding before stepping out of the room. Leaving the two women behind.

Ying sat closer to Yaya before engulfing her in a hug. Which she immediately complied as tears fell down her cheeks.

"I miss him"

Ying pulled her closer and rubbed her back. "I know"

"Everything reminds me of him"

"I know"

"Tomorrow marks one year of his disappearance"

Ying hugged her tighter, knowing that whatever words she could say, none would truly comfort her friend who was still grieving over the disappearance of her beloved husband.

Who used to be their team's Captain.

Ying pulled back to look at her friend.
"Do you want to take the day off tomorrow?"

Yaya kept quiet to think before shaking her head.
"If I do, I'll just get sadder from having nothing to stop me from thinking about it"

Although Ying silently disagreed with her, she gave her a smile and pulled her into another hug.

"No matter what happens, know that I'll always be here for you"
