"Vivian!" My dads voice boomed throughout the room. I jumped away from Eris, a blush on my cheeks.
"Y-yes?" I stammered, trying to get my act together. I was obviously failing, which wasn't good.
"Can I speak to you out in the hall for a second?" I could tell he was trying not to scream, or use his alpha voice since Eris was right there, but I got the message clearly.
"Of course," I told him, squaring my shoulders and walking out the doorway, trying not to piss my pants. I followed him out to the hallway and closed the door softly behind me.
"You're leaving. Right now." He told me.
"What? Where?"
"It's Friday, Vivian. We're going hunting." He said seriously.
"B-but I don't change until sunset-"
"Exactly. Most werewolves can change whenever they want. We need to train you on that, there's some rogues roaming around and I don't like it. You need to be able to defend yourself Vi." He said seriously, a hint of worry in his tone.
"O-okay." I replied staring at my feet. Could one of those rogues be my brother?
"Let's go. Say goodbye to you're friend, you can visit her tomorrow." He snapped. I gave him a curt nod, and quickly walked back into the room, closing the door behind me. I jogged to the bed and noticed she was blushing.
"I have to go." I said apologetically, not wanting to leave her. We were interrupted again.
"I-oh. That's okay," she smiled, "will you be back tomorrow?"
"Of course." I smiled, and squeezed her hand, quickly going back to my dad. No need to make him angrier than he seemed to be.
{Eris's POV}
Holy crap.
We almost kissed again.
I wasn't sure what to feel. I knew I had a crush on her, it was obvious. I thought she liked me back, but I couldn't be sure. I had trust issues, big ones, and it was hard for me to let people in. But all of a sudden Vivian was just there. She became a part of my life whether I liked it or not, and I found myself wanting to see her.
I never wanted to see people to much, not even my past crushes. I was perfectly happy to stay in my little anti-social bubble and re-read Percy Jackson again. I had finished The Lost Hero series not too long ago, and almost had a heart attack when I thought Leo died.
But back to the matter at hand, I wanted to trust Vivian. I wanted to so bad, she always seemed there for me. And sure she could have some mood swings at times and be ashamed to show me to her family, but in the end I knew I wouldn't care.
She was like a drug, and so help me if I wasn't an addict.
{Vivian's POV}
"Shift." My father ordered, crossing his arms over his chest.
"Dad-"
"Do it, Vivian. Now." He growled. I sighed and got into a crouching position. I knew he was just doing this for my protection, but that didn't mean I liked it. And it didn't mean he had to be an asshole about it either. I grumbled a little before squeezing my eyes shut and willing the shift to take over my body. I waited for my bones to start cracking, my teeth to fall out, my nails to grow into claws, and fur erupt from my body, but it never did.
