You Saved Me

~Daniel's POV~
We were actually on our way to school while we had this very, VERY, uncomfortable conversation about..sex. I mean..it was pretty cool to talk about it with her, but she has a boyfriend, and she's 5'3. It's pretty funny watching her try to look up at me without the sun getting in her eyes.
"Daniel.." Ella groaned, stomping her feet. "No fair that you're 6'1..no need to rub it in my face."
I couldn't help but laugh. She is the most adorable person I have ever laid eyes on, it's not everyday that I get to wake up and see her laughing and giggling at my corny ass jokes. "Aww I'm sorry do you wan-" I couldn't even finish my sentence when Jake came in-between us...LITERALLY!
"Hey babe.." Jake said, wrapping his hands around Ella's waist.
Someone needs to throw me a vomit bag, ASAP..if you don't know who Jake is by now..he is Ella's pervert boyfriend.
Ella giggles at the sight of Jake. "Hey Jake" she said wrapping her arms around his neck.
You have no clue what happened next. They had a make out session, in front of me! He even squeezed her ass a couple of times, that is not his job it is mine and he needs to know that!
"I'll just um..meet you at school.." I said very weirded out. I continued walking, until I got to a certain point I began running...for my life.
~Ella's POV~
I was actually pretty scared when Jake kissed me. He's been very abusive in the relationship, I didn't want Daniel to be frightened so I continued on with the kiss until he was out of sight.
"Jake.." I said, wiping my lips in disgust. "I was supposed to meet you at sch-" I stopped midsentence, feeling a stinging pain on my cheek. He slapped me, he slapped me hard.
"I don't like this Daniel guy, you're always with him. How am I supposed to know you're not cheating on me" Jake shouted.
"Well why don't you just tru-" I stopped again, feeling another sharp stinging pain.
"I didn't say you could speak bitch" Jake shook his head. "Your sex buddy isn't here to save you an-" I tried punching him, but he grabbed hold of my hands, also trying to fight back. He shoved me into an alleyway, pinning me to the ground and forcefully trying to undress me. I kicked and screamed, but he covered my mouth. I wasn't ready for my first time, especially not with him.
~Daniel's POV~
Something didn't feel right to me, it was just a feeling in my gut that I wouldn't resist. I turned back around, heading back, and finding the most absurd thing ever. He was actually trying to rape her. Before I could think, I grabbed a brick, smashing it against Jake's head, making him fall off of Ella. I scurried to her side, kneeling down and holding her bridal style in my arms.
"T-Thank you.." She said weakly, gripping onto my shirt.
I felt pain for her, I knew she needed me and I was never letting her go. "I'm always here for you El.."
She smiled brightly at my words. "You saved me from that horrible nightmare I was about to enter" she softly kissed my cheek, which made my face turn a bit red. I reached for my beanie on top of my head and pulled it down to cover my face.
Ella gasped, laughing a bit. "I can't see your face!"
I couldn't help but laugh along with her "That's the point"
At that moment I actually thought that we might be more than just best friends, because getting out of the friend zone is number 1 on my bucket list.
