Nicky's pov

“kids get up for school” mum yelled from down stairs we all groaned in sync “do we have to get up?” I asked putting my arm over my eyes “yes we do we don’t want to be late for school” Ricky said getting of his bed.

I slowly made my way down the stairs “good morning your lunch is in the fridge now remember there’s a new girl in your class I expect you all to welcome her and treat her with kindness” mum said to us all crossing her arms “well what’s her name?” dawn asked with a smile “y/n  y/l/n she’s got the nicest personality and the warmest smile” she said smiling brightly “you’ve met her?” I asked crossing my arms “oh yeah she’s Sara finches daughter, she was my best friend in school but drifted apart. She contacted me a couple weeks ago saying she was moving back here with her daughter and invited me for a catch up” mum shrugged “AND YOU DIDN’T BRING US!?” dawn yelled

We had arrived at school and were in class waiting for the new girl. She walked into the class, I was taken back at how beautiful she was, her eyes sparkling her smile bright “nicky…nicky! are you even listening?” dawn shouted snapping me out of my trance “huh what? Sorry I was… thinking” I said looking back to the three of them “as I was saying  I go talk to her first then Dicky, Ricky and finally you” dawn explained pointing at each of us as she spoke “why dose dicky get to go first?!” Ricky exclaimed “because I said so” dawn replied before walking off towards y/n.

Y/ns pov

I was so nervous to go into my first classroom, my mum had told me that I was in the same class as Mrs harpers children so at least I could talk to them, right?. I entered the class, my nerves died down slightly since no-one had noticed me. A girl with wavy blond hair came up to me with a bright smile “hi y/n right?” she said as she got to me “um yeah that’s me” I chuckled nervously “I’m dawn, dawn harper” she smiled again sticking her hand out for me to shake, I accepted returning the smile.

Dawn asked me to sit with her and her friend Mae I was sat in the middle and they sat on either side of me “hello, I’m Ricky harper its lovely to meet you” a boy said sitting Infront of me “well hello Ricky I’m y/n, y/n y/l/n” I replied *wow these harpers are so nice* another boy at on the desk to the right of Ricky and turned to face me “hi there cutie I’m dicky” the boy said smirking “I’m y/n” another boy sat on the left of Ricky unlike the others he seemed to be transfixed on something for a minute or two before speaking “h-hi I’m nicky umm how are you?” the boy said shyly I smiled at him “hi nicky I-um I’m good thank you, your siblings seem lovely” he chuckled lightly “they are far from lovely”  “HEY!”

First period was over and everyone were heading to their next class dawn had music, Ricky and dicky had English so I was left alone with nicky, I didn’t mind though he’s so cute, uh I mean cute as in funny! He’s very funny…anyway science, since I was new and didn’t know anyone other than mae and the harpers nicky and I decided  to pair up “science is one of my favourite subjects what about you? What subjects do you like?” nicky asked with a smile as we sat down at out shared table “oh well I too love science, I was the top of the class at my old school, I enjoy music..OH and food tech! food techs my favourite subject” as I said that Nicky’s eyes light up “no way! Food techs my favourite too! My siblings don’t really appreciate my talent at being the best chef of the harpers” he said proudly I laughed lightly at his statement “well id love to have some of your food I bet its amazing” we both blushed slightly before unpacking our bags “what about tonight? Uh I mean if you want to, you could come round and help me make some cupcakes” he said turning to face me “I’d love to”
