⊱His Angel⊰
Reina slammed the door of her apartment shut. She was still feeling a bit upset. She was taking her shoes of when hands wrapped around from behind and she felt a warm breath hit her neck. She shivered and leaned back into him as she felt like her anger was gone.
"What happened, little one?" He asked her concerned. She sighed and turned to face him.
"I quit from my job." She replied, her eyes looking down. He looked at her confused, wondering what might have happened.
"Why?" He questioned her with furrowed eyebrows. She put her head on his chest and wrapped her hands around his waist.
"A girl blamed me for something that I didn't do and it wouldn't usually bother since she does it all the time but today I had enough. My manager believed her and not me and that was the final straw. I flipped both them off and left." She answered, her voice getting quiter. He cupped her soft cheeks, making a pout form on her lips. She looked at him with heavy eyes.
"You did good! They deserved it. I know how hardworking you are and you didn't deserve this kind of behavior. Don't worry, everything is gonna be ok. You will find a better job, I promise." He said with a soft smile, his thumbs rubbing her cheeks.
His words made her feel better and she was grateful for having him. He kissed her pout away and pulled back, making a whimper of disappointment leave her lips. He laughed and looked at her with amusement. She leaned up and connected their lips again. She loved kissing him.
She pulled back after sharing a few more kisses. She gave him a sweet smile before she went to the kitchen. She started taking out the ingredients for the sauce she would make for her pasta.
Luciano was sitting on the chair in front of the table in the kitchen, observing her. She was thinking about what to do. She didn't have a job and she had to take care of Luciano, since it would be hard for him to get a job without having people ask and freak out once they see his wings.
"A penny for your thoughts?" He broke the silence. His voice brought her back to reality. She shook her head.
"I'm just think about everything that happened. I'm a bit worried. I have saved some money and would be enough for at least six months but what about after? What if I can't find a job? What are we gonna do, then?" She questioned worried. She heard him sigh before she heard his footsteps and her from him.
His arms automatically wrapped around her as he left a light kiss in the crook of her neck, in an attempt to make her feel better.
"Everything's gonna be alright. Don't be negative. We will figure something out, ok? Don't worry your pretty little mind, too much." He answered with a soft smile, even though she couldn't see it. She nodded and whispered a soft 'I hope so' before she turned back to cutting the mushrooms.
She relaxed a little with his words. He was so positive that everything is gonna turn out just fine. She really wanted to feel that way but she couldn't. She would try for him to seem hopeful and maybe, eventually, she would believe it. Luciano didn't leave from her side, feeling the need to be closer to her since she still looked a bit worried.
They cooked together and spoke about different subjects, so that they wouldn't have to let their thoughts suffocate them. They knew they would have to worry about it but now they just wanted to enjoy each other's company. They would think about something sooner or later.
They were now cuddling on the couch, feeling stuffed. Luciano had his arm around her shoulder as she was leaning on him. She was caressing his soft wings, making him want to moan at the feeling.
