CHAPTER 16

MAHABANG KATAHIMIKAN ang dumaan bago nahanap ni Ren ang tamang salita na sasabihin kay Nate.

"Did h-he.."

Napakuyom ng kamao si Nate. "Yes, he cheated. May kabit ang tatay ko, at matagal na silang nagsasama ng babae niya."

Czaren was stunned for a moment. She knows that her Tita Maggie- Nate's mother, is a very kind and humble woman. She always has the smile on her beautiful face whenever they see each other. And her Tita Maggie and Lola Carina are close friends also. Kaya, papano nangyaring niloko ito ng asawa nito? She felt pity for her, all of a sudden. For Ren, Nate's mother deserves happiness. Ngayon pa lang, hindi niya mapigilang magalit sa babae na naging dahilan nang pag-iwan ng ama ni Nate sa mga ito.

Sarap sabunutan ng babaeng yon! Asik ng isipan niya.

Ren snapped when she felt Nate's kiss on her forehead. "Rest now love. You need that. We will stay here as soon as you get well."

"Wait, m-may gusto pa sana akong itanong sayo love.." pahabol na aniya.

Kumunot ang noo ni Nate pero kapagkuwan ay tumango din ito sa kanya. "Go ahead love. Ask me anything." He smiled.

"May k-kapatid ka ba sa babae ng tatay mo?" She stuttered upon saying the word 'kapatid', because she knows that if Nate has one, it surely hurts.

And there it is. She saw the madness in Nathaniel's face and it confirmed her question. No need for him to answer but—

"I have one. Remember Beatrice?" Tanong nito.

Kumunot ang noo niya dahil sa pagkaka-alam niya. Iyon ang pumunta dati sa University nila. Ito din ang babaeng pinagselosan niya. Or may iba pa?

"Iyon ba ang Beatrice na pumunta sa University dati?" She wants confirmation from him.

He shrugged, "Yes. That's her."

Naningkit naman ang mga mata ni Ren. "Sabi mo close friend mo yun? Tapos kapatid mo na pala ngayon? Abah, baka naman sa susunod, ex mo siya. Umayos ka nga."

Nate pinched her nose. "Silly. That would be so absurd love. Tsaka, kahit hindi ko siya kapatid. I won't court her nor fall for her. Hindi naman siya si Czaren e. Si Beatrice siya. Though it made me so happy when I saw you being jealous at her." Sabay halik nito sa tungki ng ilong niya.

Ren blushed with Nate's words. Shit! Ang landi talaga ng boyfriend ko. Anang isipan niya.

Nate once again kissed her forehead, down to her nose, and lastly to her lips then whispered sweet words.

"Pahinga kana love. We'll talk about this again, but not now. I want you to rest and be fully healed." Ani Nate.

Sinunod niya na ang kasintahan at ipinikit niya na ang kanyang mga mata. Baka makulitan pa ito sa kanya at magkaroon tuloy sila ng di pagkakaintindihan. Ayaw niya ng ganun. And she's hoping for a fast recovery so she could enjoy the beautiful scenery of Mount Mi Amor's crystal falls, again. Pa'no naman kasi ibang scenery inatupag nila. At panigurado na iyon pa din ang isa sa aatupagin niya— nila. But she doesn't feel any regret when she gave herself to Nate. For her, she belongs to Nate, and of course, Nate belongs to her, and only her. She smiled at that. Now, I'm being a possessive girlfriend. Can't help it though.

IT HAS BEEN A WEEK and Ren is now in good condition. She recovered well but as what the doctor said. No sex, for two weeks. Good thing that her boyfriend is an understanding man. But most of the time, she can feel Nate's hard mighty eagle when they are in bed. Pero hindi namilit o nagpumilit si Nate sa kanya na gawin ang isang bagay na makaka-apekto sa kanya lalong-lalo na sa kalusugan niya. She's really a lucky woman for having him by her side.
