 (I'm back here, sorry)

     "Kazuichi." Hinata grunts.

      "Yeah?"

"The sleep-gas bombs. Make sure you put that Detective Kirigiri out for a long time. And," Hinata grins, "Try and aim away from Detective Komaeda if you can; I'd like to have a word with him."

   "Got it."

The pink-haired boy sighs, clambering out of the van and launching his attack on the surprised officers.

Hinata merely rolls his eyes. How did they not expect a move like this? Don't they have the famous Detective Kirigiri leading the charge?

   Idiots, the lot of them.

The brunet grins as the bodies begin to sway and hit the floor one by one. Just then, Chiaki tosses him a can of hairspray. "For the security cameras." She explains.

Hinata grunts, fumbling to get a good hold on the tall, sticky can before kicking the door open and leaping out of the van with poise and grace. He begins moving across the parking lot, past the sleeping bodies (pausing to take a selfie with a Detective Kirigiri just to prove that they bested her) and stopping every once in a while to wink into a camera and cover it in hairspray, rendering it useless.

He comes to a stop in front of the main doors and begins picking the lock with expert speed.

Meanwhile, Komaeda paces nervously in the Paintings section of the Art Gallery behind a locked door, where he had been stationed by Detective Kirigiri. She'd been checking in every five minutes for a status update but so far it'd been ten minutes and nothing. He's about two seconds away from storming out there to make sure everything is alright. . .

. . .And then the door handle starts to rattle.

The detective whips his head around so fast, he smacks himself in the face with his over-fluffy ponytail. He'd pulled his hair back tight so that he would not fail to see the Phantom Thief at any point and his vision would not be compromised. That's also why he's wearing his contacts rather than his glasses.

Suddenly, something pops and the door swings open and standing there is the Phantom Thief himself with that same annoying ̶b̶r̶e̶a̶t̶h̶t̶a̶k̶i̶n̶g̶ smile. He locks eyes with the detective and smiles.

"Huh, Detective Komaeda, I'm so relieved you're alright," He drawls, sauntering closer to the slightly-taller authority figure, "All of your other friends, however, didn't do so well. . ."

Komaeda tenses, glaring down at the Phantom Thief who had suddenly stopped making any move closer. "What did you do to everyone out there?" He growls.

The Thief's eyes widen, holding his gloved hands up in defense. "Woah, woah, woah, you say that as if I hurt them or killed them or something. Relax, dear, they're merely taking a little siesta. And I've got enough of the gas left to put you to sleep as well. . ." He threatens in a soft, gentle voice.

Nagito reaches into his back pocket for his gun and then freezes, realizing that he didn't have it with him.

   'Just my luck.'

   "Leave me alone, Phantom Thief."

"Oh?" The brunet Thief raises their eyebrows, "So if I left right now, you'd just let me go, huh? Wouldn't you get you in trouble with that famous Detective Kirigiri of yours? I don't want my precious Detective to get fired."

"I'd probably get promoted if I was able to bring you in despite everything." The fluffy-haired boy replies coldly.

Hinata giggles. "Now that simply won't do," He responds, sauntering over to admire an expensive painting of this adorable kitten prancing through a field of wildflowers, "A Yonaga original, is it not? This one will do quite nicely."
