Chapter Eight: Alternate Ending

Ciel slowly opened his eyes and looked around the room. Not seeing Sebastian lurking in a corner, he let out a small sigh of relief.

Trying to roll over, he cringed at the pain he felt. His entire body hurt.

He knew that he could not take much more.

Trying to sit up, his hand slipped in a puddle of blood.

"Ugh," Ciel muttered out, "what the..."

Realizing that the blood was his, he let out a small yelp.

Suddenly he heard a door open and close upstairs. Waiting for the man to come down and walk through the door, he dragged himself towards the wall bracing for what would come next.

The man never came.

Ciel sat in the room for what seemed like an eternity.

He had no food or water and would soon die if the man didn't come back.

After three days and nights of being trapped in the room, he faintly heard someone yelling above him followed by a crash.

"Search the whole house!" Commissioner Randall yelled to his team.

A few seconds later Ciel heard someone running down the stairs. Kicking the the door open, he saw an older man in a suit burst through the door.

Rushing to the boy, Randall yelled out, "I found him! Abberline, get the medics now!"

"Don't worry son, your safe now," said Randall wrapping the boy in his suit jacket.

Ciel closed his eyes thanking God.

Waking up the next day in the hospital, Ciel saw all of his friends sitting by his bed side.

He felt safe, and most important of all, he was happy that his friends were here to support him.

When the nurse said that his friends needed to let him rest, the commissioner slipped into the room and sat down next to Ciel's bed.

After hearing the commissioner tell him everything that happened, he laid his head back down on the pillow and thanked God again.

Knowing that the man was locked away and could never hurt him, Ciel felt a feeling of peace flow through his body.
