****Nobody hate me for this chapter. lol... seriously. I just like to keep things interesting as always. So... once again... hope you all enjoy.****

The weekend couldn’t come fast enough, especially since I was trying to avoid talking to Amber about how Dr. Kennedy was her advisor. It got even more complicated when she told me that she wanted to hang out that weekend, but I lied and told her I was going to be really busy at a friend’s house tutoring them. A lame excuse maybe, but she believed it since I told her that I was doing exceptionally well in History these days and Lani wasn’t.

On Friday morning Janel’s class was going to be leaving for their camping trip. I sat in my room waiting for the clock to hit 10:00am. That was when Dr. Kennedy had told me they would definitely be gone by.

When that time finally came I told my mother that I was leaving to go to Lesley’s house. Lesley had agreed to cover for me, because I didn’t actually tell her where I was going. I had lied and said I was going to be staying the night at Amber’s. I didn’t really understand why she believed that I would have to hide that from my mother, but she did.

I didn’t want to drive my car, just because I didn’t want to leave it parked outside of Dr. K.’s house. I was pretty sure that with her husband being gone for the weekend that would have looked really suspicious, so instead I walked the whole way. It wasn’t too bad though. She didn’t live terribly far away.

Her house was really nice. It was white with two floors and a very large birch tree growing out front. They had decent sized yard and a connected garage with what much have been her black 2010 Ford Escape parked outside.

I walked up the sidewalk to the little front porch and knocked rather quietly on the door. I hadn’t realized it the whole way there, but as I stood just outside her door I was terribly nervous. So much so that I was literally shaking as I stood there waiting for her to open the door. I could hear her getting up and my heart started beating faster.

“Hey,” she said cheerfully when she opened the door.

She smiled down at me and moved aside so I could come in.

            “Hey.”

The inside of her house was just as pretty as the outside. It was decorated in light neutral colors with red violet and black accents. It looked very modern and was very expected when I thought of Dr. Kennedy. I imagined that she had complete control over what their house looked like inside and out.

Once I got fully inside Dr. Kennedy shut the door and took my hand, leading me farther into her house, down a narrow hallway. I almost couldn’t believe what I was actually doing. This was probably the most insane thing I’d ever done.

At the end of the hallway was the room we were going to. Her bedroom. Well, her and her husband’s awkwardly enough, but who really cared about him right now? Not me. I was practically a nervous wreck just watching her put her hand on the door handle and turn it. I was totally ready for this though, either way. I wanted her so bad that I was willing to risk a lot just to be with her.

The room was much like I expected it to be, modern like the rest of the house and just as neat and orderly as her office at the school. It was decorated in much of the same colors as the living room only with shades of light blue as the accents instead. Probably the one thing her husband wanted to have a say in.

She let go of my hand and went over to her bed. I followed and sat down next to her, probably looking uncomfortable seeing as how she began to look just a little concerned. I didn’t want her to be though. I knew what I was doing. I wasn’t going to change my mind.
