The Gravity Towards Him

Prologue

"Let's say we have an apple falling from a tree." I gestured an imaginary apple using my right hand and acted like I let it go.

"Now how fast do you think is the acceleration due to gravity?"

Hinintay ko lang ang sagot niya at napakunot pa ang noo ko nang makita ko ang mukha ni KZ na lagi niyang ginagawa kapag hindi niya pa rin magets ang isang bagay.

I sighed. "Come on KZ.. we talked about this a million times. You should know already." 

She frowned, giving me that cute face that she always gives me when she just wants to give up. I sighed again, feeling defeated because who wouldn't say no to those eyes?

"Fine, but I want an answer in our next tutor session okay?" The 10-year-old girl KZ gave me an innocent smile as she suddenly gave me a hug. Since she was smaller than me, she was only hugging just above my hips so I had to bend down a little to hug her back.

"Ate Aira needs to go now. Make sure to study well okay?" Sabi ko sa kanya bago siya tumango at tumalon-talon palabas ng kwarto niya. Napatawa na lang ako dahil sa kanya at napatingin sa gamit niya sa study table.

Nagsimula akong mag-ayos ng mga gamit niya at binalik ito sa mga tamang lalagayan. I also started to put her books inside her bag just so that she won't forget them tomorrow while going to school.

Pero habang ginagawa ko iyon ay bigla akong nakarinig ng katok mula sa pintuan. Tinapos ko muna ang paglalagay ng mga libro sa loob ng bag ni KZ at saka lang ako tumingin sa taong nakasandal ngayon sa pinto ng kwarto.

"Hatid na kita pauwi, madilim na sa labas."

Tristan stood there, leaning on the door with his hands crossed over his chest. He raised his brows as he waited for my reply.

"Wow gentleman." I rolled my eyes as a joke and proceeded to finish placing some of KZ's books on the bookshelf beside her study table.

"What subject did you teach her today?" He asked.

I raised a brow, asking why he was suddenly curious. "Science, Tristan. Your favorite subject but her least favorite." I laughed.

Napatingin ako sa huling libro na ibabalik ko sana sa bookshelf na iyon at napansing iyon yung librong ginamit namin kanina habang tinuturuan ko si KZ. I closed the book and tiptoed to reach the top shelf since it was empty.

As I struggled, I suddenly felt a presence behind me and realized it was Tristan. Nagulat ako ng sobra lalo na nung hinawakan niya ang kamay ko at tinulungan akong ilagay ang librong iyon sa shelf.

"So you talked about gravity.." His mouth was so close to my ears, giving me a chill throughout my entire spine.

"How about we, talk about acceleration?" He emphasized on the word we kaya kaagad akong napalingon ng walang pasabi-sabi. Dahil sa ginawa ko ay naging magkalapit ang mukha naming dalawa sa isa't-isa.

"Since it's my favorite subject, I'll ask a question since you're the tutor of my little sister." The side of his lips rose.

"Oh?" I raised a brow, also raising the side of my lips. He slowly started to lean in closer to my face while his hands were currently grabbing on the shelf behind me as a support, making me get trapped between them.

"How many seconds do you think does it take for me to lean in and kiss you?"
