"So... are you coming with me?"
"Where?" The dour faced potions master asked, eyes barely visible above the Daily Prophet broadsheet newspaper.
"Diagon Alley?" Aria informed, perching herself on the edge of his desk and sinking her teeth into yet another liquorice wand.
Subtly, Severus ran the tip of his tongue along the inside of his lower lip, trying his best to listen to anything she was saying.
"Why would I ever want to do that." He said haltingly, finding himself unable to look away from the woman's mouth.
"To help me pick out my new kitten? Come on, Severus, we talked about this last week, you must remember!" She huffed.
"I'm kidding." He smirked. "Of course I'll come... if I must."
"You must." She decided, rolling her eyes, exaggerating her disapproval for her colleagues unwilling attitude.
"Besides, it's not like we've got anything else to do today. We've marked more essays than either of us can fathom. Unless the students actually decide to start writing them off their own accord, I'd say we have succeeded all expectations on the marking front.""We have indeed. Whatever will I use as my excuse to keep you down here now?" He teased, finally folding away his paper, to get a better look at her.
"You don't need an excuse, Severus. I like spending time with you, just maybe this time we could do it somewhere with a little more natural light for once?"
"I suppose it wouldn't kill us." He admitted, making to stand.
"Ready when you are." Aria announced.
Just as the two of them made to leave, they opened the classroom door only to be instantly confronted by one of their students.
"Skye... Miss Johnstone." Aria corrected herself. "It completely escaped my mind that you were coming, please come in."
Snape grunted impatiently from behind the witch, clearly unhappy with the sudden interruption.
"Have you decided which potion you would like as your prize?" Miss Dumbledore asked her student, making herself comfortable behind Snape's desk, while the man in question stood awkwardly waiting at the door.
"Yes, I have."
"Well go on then, let me know. This is a once in a life time opportunity from this potions class, I hope you have given it a fair amount of thought. "
"I... I have, Professor. Only, I'm not sure you'll allow me what I want."
"You'll never know unless you ask." Aria said, gesturing for her student to take a seat.
"I'll just close this shall I." Snape said irritably, closing the door, realising they would not be leaving any time soon.
"I want.... I'd like a love potion." The girl confessed, nervously fiddling with the ends of her lusciously long blonde hair.
"Well that's not unreasonable at all, Miss Johnstone, you can buy them in any practically any joke shop in the Wizarding World. In fact, I'm almost positive Zonko's have them on sale at half price around Valentine's day."
Aria made to stand, happy the girl had chosen a rather basic potion, often used for trivial reasons such as pranks or to satisfy a childish crush."I want you to make me Amortentia." Skye quickly divulged.
Upon hearing her request Severus took a large stride into the middle of the room. Watching closely his apprentice's reaction.
"Well...em, Skye the thing is... I'm not sure that's entirely a good idea."
"But you said I could have whatever potion I wanted. It's not like I'm choosing draught of living death!"
