Months passed, and my graduation has come. Who would have thought I could survive college after everything that happened. It was all because of him. It was all because of Sir Kimmon who became my haven, my escape, my motivator. It was all because of him.

The ceremony was over. People became chaotic. Others were crying because of being overwhelmed, others were smiling blissfully because finally the end has come. But, I was busy looking for the reason I was able to reach this very moment.

I roamed around my eyes looking for the man with perfectly built body and overflowing strictness, but when he smiles your heart will definitely go wild.

After some time, I found him standing at the corner of the hall holding a box of I couldn't recognize. I was on cloud nine as I approached him. I hugged him as soon as I've reached him, but eventually released it. You know, issues. He greeted me and ruffled my styled hair. He handed me a box. It was a box of cake, a blueberry cheesecake to be exact, my favorite.

"Congratulations, I'm proud of you", he said with sincerity.

"Thank you Sir", I shyly responded.

"What else do you want?", he asked.

"You", I confidently replied.

"What? Me????", he confusedly said.
and I just nodded as a reply.

No one dared to talk for a couple of minutes, awkwardness started to drift away the perfect atmosphere, and so I fearlessly asked him, "Can we talk outside?" and he just nodded as a respond.

It's now or never.

At the garden behind the hall, I boldly confessed to him. I swallowed up my pride, and let the destiny do its job. If he's meant for me, he will be mine.

"I want you to be my graduation gift, Sir Kimmon. I like you— no, I think I've fallen for you, I fell too hard, too deep, Sir."

He was speechless.

"Sir, I have a one question, and I need a one answer, Love me or leave me?"

He was silent, stunned.

"I am your friend, Copter. I'm sorry I didn't know you have feelings for me. I will stay with you, but I can't love you the way you want me to."

He said with worried eyes.

"I love you. Just let me love you." I desperately begged him.

"But I don't love you. I shouldn't and you should not love me too. I am engaged, Ter. I'm getting married 2 months from now."

He saved me from agony and misery; helped me find the happiness in me; and made me love myself. He picked up my shattered, broken pieces; patiently fixed me; and waited me until I've found myself again. Together we will be seeing the forever holding hands, I thought. But he chose her hand instead as they walk down the aisle.

"The bride is coming", a man exclaimed as he ecstatically runs toward the people inside the church.

"Let's get ready. Please let us go back to our positions now", the wedding organizer happily said while clapping his hands.

The place became busier than usual, everyone is excitingly roaming around the entrance of the church. Then, I saw him.

His eyes follow me, his feet walk toward me, his right hand grabbed my left arm and pulled me closer, his body hugs me.

"Thank you for coming", he whispered.
"No worries, ikaw pa ba. Malakas ka saakin eh", I whispered back.

"Best man, where is the best man?", the pissed event's organizer shouted , so I released my hug on him.

"I...", I said while looking at Sir Kimmon.
Then, I proudly faced the organizer, "I am the best man".

My love for him
is pure
but forbidden.
