Jades pov

For past two years I've walked to and from school. This is my third year now that I'm my junior year.

They look at me like I was new to the school.

But I'm not. They can't accept the fact that I'm not like them. They don't understand that my life. Is hell.

I don't care any more. They can look all they want but I'm not going to let that affect me. I can Hardly handle my own problems.

When the teacher calls on me I freeze and I don't speak.

They laugh at me many times but I ignore them. I put on my earphones and listen to my music zoning off to my own world. A world where I wish was true. A happy family and many friends to talk to.

The only time I can walk freely to school without any one looking at me is when bridgeway high school lacrosse team is going for championship. Nobody has time to stand and stare.

They all go and watch them practice. Get ready for many preparations. It's always busy. But prom is also a busy part of the year. It's on the same month of the championship yet I'm surprised they can make it all come together.

Walking in to class, I can see everyone laughing, talking, guys chest bumping the eager they have for the game. It's like they're all a big happy family. I'm their toy when they want to laugh or make fun of when they're bored.

Mr.Mackey comes in and settles down the class. Thank god.
I've been afraid of men and never let them get near me. Why?

Flashback***

Twelve year old me.

I have been driven to school every day as a kid. But not that day, that Monday morning.

I was forced to walk.

I was almost there. Safe. School was halfway from me.

A white van drove next to me. I was frightened. I tried to run.

I was to weak. Two men took me in...

And raped me.

My father never believed me, he thought of me as a slut.

My mother was so sick. I blame it on me, that her cancer has been worse.

Ever since that day, I've been disgusted by men, never let them touch, talk or get the nearest to me.

Except my teachers. I have to let them talk to me.

End of Flashback***

Mr.Mackey calls on us for our home work. That's the only thing I can actually do without any mistakes. Without the worries of people besides my parents. Every day at the library I have a lot of time to study and finish my homework.

"Jade. Do you have your homework to turn in?" Just as he calls on me every one stares at me. It takes me some time to get up and turn in my homework to him. And sit back down because I'm afraid. Afraid to give them what they want. For me to make a mistake so they can laugh and make fun of me. "Y-yes." My voice shaky like always when they call on me.

Walking to his desk I toss my papers on his desk so I'm not near him.
Going back I try to ignore their faces staring at me. It was going well until Michelle had to fuck it all up. "Hey twerp, can you hurry it up. We're trying to learn here, not watch a turtle get to its stupid tomato."
She says from across the room. People start to laugh. I freeze in my steps.

"Michelle! Lunch detention with me." Mr.Mackey says while making her lunch detention slip.

My hands turn into fist. I'm tired of her bullshit. She's been doing this the past three years that I've been here and this is it.

I turn to her and stare at her with my furious eyes. "Why don't you shove it up your ass. Slut." People were oohing. And I was relieved.

"Jade. See me after school." I hear Mr.Mackey from behind me. I don't look back, I go straight to my desk and look out the window. Ignoring what just happened.

I couldn't accept the fact that someone was staring at me. He didn't look away, just stared. It was annoying. "What are you looking at?"

Every one stopped and stared again. He didn't look away like every guy has. He just argued with me.

"At you obviously." Smiling at me just annoyed me even more.

"Stop it then. Unless you have a problem, then you should go get help."

"Oh I don't have a problem. Maybe you do. I'm surprised your even talking to me. Do you even know who I am.l" Grabbing his pencil, he rested the eraser on his cheek.

"Well fuck off. I'm talking to you cuz your an annoying bitch. And I don't care who you are." I said.

"Stop it! Both of you after school, my classroom."

He dropped his pencil. And started to argue with Mr.Mackey. It wasn't long till Mr.Mackey got mad and sent him to the next door classroom.
On his way out he angrily stared at me.
