Third Person POV
Cℎ𝑎𝑝𝑡𝑒𝑟 Twenty-Four
Lifeless!(Mentions of suicide)
——————THE BROKEN GIRL DIDN'T WANT TO EXPERIENCE THE PAIN OF DEATH, BUT SOMEHOW the pain of living seemed worse at this moment. Because maybe death hurt less than life.
Stumbling over to the chipped vanity, she grabbed her phone. Sliding down her bedroom wall, she dialled 999 hesitantly.
"999, what's your emergency?"
Opening her mouth, Shelia paused coming to the final realisation of what she was doing, "There's been a suicide," she broke into the phone, silently crying.
"Ok ma'am, may I ask who the victim is?"
"I am." Ending the phone she smashed it against the floor, reassuring herself that it won't make a noise — that no one would try to stop her. Not that anyone cared.
Locking eye's onto her balcony, she had figured out year's ago that the drop plus the impact would be either to kill her almost instantly. Unlocking the door which connected her room to the outside air, she looked over the quiet street. No disturbance.
Stepping over towards the ledge of the building, Shelia hesitated as she climbed on top of the metal ledge, steadying myself. Staring down at the thirty - nine feet drop.
Goosebumps began appearing on her skin as she stood in the frosty breeze of the twilight without her jacket. Sapphire eyes looked down upon the city, spotting street lights adding brightness into the darkness, she could easily relate with the lonely people treading around at the darkest peak of the night.
But what stood out most to the trembling girl, she looked down and saw the end of it all. Shelia stood face to face with her...
...𝐷𝑒𝑎𝑡ℎ
It was as if she imagine her lifeless body slamming down onto the concrete, blood seeping from my head the crack in her head.
Taking a deep breath as she averted her eyes up to the heavens. Appreciating the way the stars littered the sky like a soft blanket, independently twinkling.
Magnificent, was the first word to come to her mind, that made her at peace she was happy that it was the last thing she got to see before she left forever.
Every bad feeling she had ever felt, guilt, unworthiness, the constant feeling of danger, heartbreak, worry, fear, everything was about to end, so were the good feelings, love, family, happiness, appreciation.
All of it was going to be gone in a matter of minutes. It's amusing how death can occur so fast, interesting really. It felt as if Shelia could hear her heart rapidly thumping in her chest, hesitantly she lifted her left foot and hung it in the air, away from the edge, also releasing one hand from the railing.
A tear slipped from her eyes when she came to the conclusion of all this. This is the end. She was actually going to do it. This is it for her. This is the end of the constant feeling of fear, distress, bothering others.
Her breath hitched as she heard a voice in her head, guiding her, "Jump Shelia." It told her in a hardly recognisable voice. "This is your way out. Out of the misery, the terror you live in." It continued her, as if trying to convince her, "Do it." The voice shouted, causing Shelia to let out a whimper.
Taking what she though would be her last final breath of fresh air, her last final breath of being alive, she drew it out holding it in for a while before exhaling and shutting her eyes, not wanting to watch herself fall.
Petite hands let go of the railing, Shelia had expected it to go so quickly, she hadn't even felt herself connect with the ground knocking the life out of her.
Cautiously, she opened her eyes noticing herself still on the ledge. None of her hands were gripping onto the railing, instead she felt arms tight around her.
"I couldn't let you go," A broken voice whispered into her ear, it cracked slightly as if they were trying to hold back tears, it was easily recognisable.

Ryder had notice his loves strange behaviour, and decided to pay her a visit, her front door was unlocked causing the boy to quickly rush into the house paranoid, going straight to his best friend's sister room noticing her on the edge of her balcony.
"𝐼 𝑐𝑎𝑛 𝑓𝑙𝑦," she whispered, almost going missed by the loud wind blowing the pair.
Faintly, he whisper back to her, "Please...𝑃𝑟𝑖𝑛𝑐𝑒𝑠𝑠 𝐿𝑖𝑎."
It was silent for a few moments, no one spoke. Only the sounds of both their rocky silent cries could be heard. Both of them thinking back to the first time they met.
"I'm sorry Ryder," she whispered to him, confusing him. Pushing him off she dropped not giving him time to react.
Shutting his eyes tight, it felt like hours until he heard her body connecting to the ground. After a few seconds he cautiously look over the edge.
Crimson ruby red blood soaked through her clothes, her eyes fluttered, desperate to stay open, her eyes turning glossy, as they began to lose the little brightness they had remaining in them.
Shelia was still as beautiful as ever, her hair laid effortlessly around her head as she stayed paralysed on the hard pavement floor.
The connecting with the cobblestone floor, slowly killing her. The tears in her eyes began to dry up, as her soul drained out of her.
A scream erupted from Ryder's mouth, as he watched his love live her last moments, thirty-nine feet below him.
Shelia nor Ryder ever got their happy endings.
THE END!
