36. The Efforts!!

Ritika's POV

Papa's voice was very strong and heavy....
And this time Dev was drunk to speak in front of him...

"You molested a girl!?"
"Nah!"
"Just keep your arrogance to yourself young man"
"Ok!!"
"Look at him how he is replying back!!"
And Dev burst into laughter ...
He went and hugged Papa and whispered something in his ear ...

And the next thing I saw was Dad pushing him back by holding his shoulders and burst into laughter with him...

"Ok .. ok fix this shit..."
"Yes papa ji!"
"And try to get your feisty mind inside a room !!!"
"Oh common pa!!"

He laughed and left from there...

After that all I know is walking back to my house....with others ...

"Dev!!"
I knew he will still be angry...
I got down of the bed and walked to him with him my hands around his torso...
"I am sorry for the slap !! And please take a day off tomorrow .. I want to have some time with you!!"
"Ok!!"
What happened to him??
I started talking while my hands still moving and feeling his abdominals..
"Are you ok??"
"Yes I am Rits!!"
"What is bothering you??You know we can talk it out..."
"Why you were with that girl ?? Who is she to you??"
"She is my Friend !! We are childhood friends !!"
"Oh!!"

He turned around gave his best smile...
And then kissing my cheeks ... Only to be followed by a Good Night Rits..

The day break!!

I was snuggled in his humongous body ..
"Dev are you awake ??"
"Hmm"
"I wanted to say you something.."
"Go on Rits!!"
"I..I Love You!!"
I felt my cheeks burning and even felt too embarrassed so I just dug my head more deep into his chest...

He pushed me aside...

"Ok..ok so the fact is I am not going to be fooled!!"

I shot my messy head like what??

"Yes !! Today is first of April and I .. Dev Dixit is not going to be fooled by this stunt of yours .. and topic you chose will also not fool me !!"

Oh... How can I forget today is First of April

He went straight inside the bathroom...
I took his phone and called Arun...

Without even listening to me he said...
"Yes sir I have already looked into the matter there is no problem in that... Now you are safe to go ahead!! Mam will never come to know about this .."
And I Hung up the call !! Thinking it to be a wrong number...

I redialed again but this time with my phone and asked Arun to contact all the decorators and event planner I decided for Dev's Birthday party...

I also asked him to prepare all those gifts I and Nitya together ordered for him...

Arun's answer was still running in my head...

He came out of the bathroom...

And without thinking further I went in...

When I came out I found a note on the  table saying...
"I am going to office I have an important meeting to attend will be back soon.."

I left out a sigh and went to Swati Di's room ...

And started taking tips and tricks on how to make a proper South Indian food as she makes the best South Indian dishes...

After talking to her for a while ...
I just sat down in our room ..
Thinking how he thought my feelings to be a joke and what was Arun talking about...

I moved toward the hall seeing him walk past by me with a court paper in his hand probably...
He hid it as soon as he saw me...

I called back Arun to ask about the details .. of preparation...

I entered the room and found my hubby perfectly dressed up in a Tuxedo ..

"I am sorry!!"
"Why??"
"Actually I crashed your idea of the party as I promised my employees of throwing a party after my trip from NYC so I invited everyone I know as an employee to the party..."

Oh .. I thought he would be saying something about that paper he hid from me...

He was wearing his brotch when he winced keeping his finger in mouth ...

I think he pricked it ...

"Oh no Dev let me see..."
"No it's alright !!"
"It's not alright you just winced in pain!!"
"No it's nothing..."

He started hiding it which led me to take up my bossy Character again...

"I think you forgot my warning MR. DEV DIXIT!?"
I said with my hands on my hips and a glare which I faked on him...
"Ok..ok listen don't get angry  ... Here look !!"
He forwarded his hands towards me only to scare me with some fake blood   on his finger....

After seeing my horrified look he just caught me in a hug and laughed like a maniac wishing "Happy Fool's Day! You fool!!!"

My eyes became watery he was being so childish ...
He first thought my feelings to be a prank and now this...
I mean my uncle whom I married was now literally a child...

I took more time after my exams I know that but was excluding and including scenes for my story ...

To make it a good one as I am going to end it in nearly Eight Chapters !!

One per day ...
