Samuel Hayden: where to start?

He was pacing back and forth trying to figure how to explain whatever he needs to explain.

Samuel Hayden: I'll start with this have you heard of the ARC?

Y/N: no what's that?

Samuel Hayden: it's the Armored Response Coalition or ARC. It's a group I have heavy involvement with.

Y/N: what do they respond to?

Samuel Hayden: the demons. I was in another group called the UAC I have some regrets about them. I've found out another source of how the forces of hell are still around.

Y/N: what is it?

Samuel Hayden: the hanging tree.

I was surprised to hear that name that sounds like something out of a Stephen King novel.

Y/N: Ummm do you mind explaining what the hanging tree is?

Samuel Hayden: of course while it doesn't have a definitive origin in his is the one I've come up with.

He "took" a deep breath I guess he can simulate breathing that's weird.

Samuel Hayden: the hanging tree is where the betrayers of hell's armies go they're kept alive until they're eventually hung to their deaths slowly. The tree absorbs their powers it's how they get their fire abilities and for a few, it's how they're more technologically. It's a deep red tree hidden in the blood swamps many have tried to find it and end up dying. But those who have found it ended up being a source of energy for the tree. But the Doom Slayer or your father was able to secretly damage the tree.

Y/N: damn that got a little dark and sounds kind of dumb I won't lie.

Samuel Hayden: it sounds weird and dumb but in your situation take it seriously. If you weren't fighting the demons and just an intern I'll be fine with you not taking it too seriously.

Y/N: fine.

Samuel Hayden: now if you'll excuse me I want a private conversation with Vega.

Y/N: oh go right ahead.

Vega: don't worry he can't hear this but I'll play you our audio so don't worry about that.

Y/N: thanks.

Vega: you're welcome and one more thing doesn't have my earpiece in school you should keep but I don't want too much suspicion.

Y/N: I understand.

Samuel Hayden: Vega are you ready?

Vega: sorry Samuel just talking with Y/N.

Samuel Hayden: alright then.

I saw him walk into a room and the door closed it seemed to be soundproof but lucky for me I'll be able to hear it.

Vega: what do want to talk about.

Samuel Hayden: where's the Crucible?

Vega: I'm still looking for it he didn't give me any hints on its location.

Samuel Hayden: how about the hilt?

Vega: I think I know where it is.

Samuel Hayden: that's a start.

What does Hayden need the Crucible for shouldn't the Night Sentinels only use them?

Vega: you haven't said anything about why you need it.

Samuel Hayden: sadly classified Vega I would if I can.

Vega: find.

Samuel Hayden: I heard that the Icon of Sin and the Khan Maykr are back.

I believe I've heard the Icon of Sin but I don't know what that is and what's the Khan Maykr. I just remember that wait. Are two of those things the Khan Maykr and the Icon of Sin? I think they are damn it took me a while to realize that.

Vega: yes I have and I think they're apart of the league of villains.

Samuel Hayden: alright that helps but do you think he's ready?

Vega: he's capable but there's a dark side to him a beast, an unknown power that he doesn't know he has.

Samuel Hayden: alright then I'll let him continue his work.

Vega: I've found out one of the ancient dragons is still alive.

Samuel Hayden: I'm sorry but what's that?

Vega: hell had a few powerful dragons that help hell's armies and there's the only one left and is the strongest. I fear that the people who have the icon of sin and Khan Maykr will get it. They're also known to rival titans with their sure power alone.

Samuel Hayden: unless it's killed by our new slayer here.

Vega: fair enough.

Hearing this I took a deep breath to myself. If I kill the remains of the demons and kill the icon of sin and Khan Maykr I'll die. It's a fate I believe no one wants but it's one I'll have to take. I don't know if I'm willing but o do this task but I'll make sure I can.

Vega: oh this is odd.

Samuel Hayden: what is it?

Vega: I want him to see this.

I saw Samuel walk out of the door and look at me.

Samuel Hayden: I believe you need you to see this.

Y/N: is it about the demons?

Samuel Hayden: no something else.

I followed him and saw the screen.

Samuel Hayden: do you by chance heard of the hero killer stain?

Y/N: no sorry haven't looked at the news in a while.

Vega: well I want you to see this.

I looked and saw what the text said.

"One of my inspirations was the Marauder and I'm said to say that if I haven't been caught I would've gone and try to kill you!"

Y/N: was that an actual quote from him?

Vega: yes.

Y/N: I'm assuming he's a villain?

Vega: yes he took your reasons for being a "villain" but unlike you went for murder.

Y/N: alright then thanks for bringing it to my attention. Before I'll get blasted by the public.

I said that last part with a bit of rage.

Samuel Hayden: Y/N I just want to say this our interest in their world is purely for the betterment of mankind I assure you. In case you don't fully trust me yet.

Y/N: I do but we've all heard the stories of demons I just fear their power could corrupt or you want something out of your control.

Samuel Hayden: fair enough.

Vega: Y/N about the earpiece I'll send you notifications I need you for something about the demons I'll make sure it'll be worth your while. Now our internship ends soon but for now, I'll send you back to your living area.

A portal opened up as I began to walk into it.
