A woman came running to where Gray was standing and hugged him. Her beautiful face glowed with joy as she wrapped her arms around Gray's neck. then they kissed the way lovers do.

~The next day~

The manger's office was a small room in the back of the marketing department. The only people assigned to that room were Gray and me.

Gray was called back to Japan this time to concentrate the energy and resources of the Japanese branch into starting up the new brand. He has a immense reputation for getting the job done, so he was recalled from France.

I was perched in my work chair going over today's plans and fixing schedule's the only sounds that could be heard was my hand gliding across the crisp paper in a slow steady manner.

A new day begins as Gray's secretary. I thought to myself finishing up the plans. I completed the papers on time and gave a slight smile to myself. I'll do my best!

The door creaked opened and in walked Gray. "Good morning." He greeted. My eyes pinned him down as he trailed to his desk.

"Good morning." I replied in a blank tone. My eyes then wavered down to my clock and I clenched my jaw.

Gray came into the office about ten minutes before the start of the workday. I guess I'm not the only early one anymore.

My gazed returned to his body and I couldn't help but realize his slouching posture and the small, but noticeable bags underneath his cold eyes.

Is he sleepy? After last night...

Gray's somnolent gaze locked onto mine. "Hm? What's the matter Juvia." he asked confusion stirring into his voice. My eyes widen and I shook my head slightly.

"Huh- I mean yes."

"They way you're looking at me is making me self-conscious."

My palms felt sweaty and my heart started to beat from embarrassment.

I'm not gawking at him at all, though. But I witnessed Gray without his knowledge last night, plus there's no way I can confess to him that I saw him kiss his girlfriend. Why should I do?!?!

Without absolutely thinking my curious mind interrupted my common-sense. "How was last night." I asked my voice slightly cracking.

"Last night?" Gray gave me a somewhat vacant stare. I bit my lower lip. My wording could've gave him the wrong message. I pondered to myself.

"Well, I thought since yesterday was so busy, you must've been tired. So I was wondering if you were able to get a good night's rest."

Gray then became his usual cheerful self and smiled. "Oh, that's what you meant." My breathing became steady once more.

"Yes, I was able to relax well enough."

I smiled back. "I'm glad to hear that."

"Well, I'm enjoying myself because it's been so long since the last time I was in Japan. Though I can't deny that the jet lag is wearing havoc to my sleep schedule."

My eyebrows jerked up. "That's a good point." I replied. It's not jet lag that making you tired, though. No, I can't think about stuff like that.

Even though I knew that...well enough. I felt as if there was something I couldn't get off my chest from the moment I woke up.
