Previously previous in Office Lovers, if you forgot since I've haven't updated for ages:
"Of course!" Lyon exclaimed and they both broke apart from their hand shake. "Though I'm jealous of you sir." He quickly said. One of Gray's eyebrows rose.

"And why is that Lyon?"

"Well you get to spend all day with Juvia, alone."

Juvia POV:

Lyon?!?! I worriedly screamed in my head as Lyon told Gray that bold statement. I could feel my whole body tense up, and my eyes gluing to Gray waiting for his response. Gray opened his mouth to say something, but Lyon beat him to it and started to speak again.

"Oh, if it were me, I'd be freaking out. I don't think I could concentrate on my work."

"I mean, won't you find it hard to focus when you're alone with Juvia all day? I don't know Mr.Fullbuster... maybe you'll be able to focus better if you put a little distance between you and her?" He joked, clasping his hands together then splitting them away.

Lyon loved making these sort of jokes.

"You're the one who needs to pay more attention to their work!" I pouted to Lyon, who just rewarded me with a flashy smile.

"...Juvia, you're so serious." Lyon said, holding his hand to his heart acting like he was hurt by my words.

"But I dig that part of you, too."

I then just rolled my eyes. It's not like I hate him or anything...but he's kind of hard to take seriously.

"Haha, you two get along pretty well, I see." Gray laughed at our exchanged, while I blushed forgetting he was watching us.

"We're not that close..." I defensively stated.

"Oh, you're proclaiming your love for me after all." Lyon joked.

"Anyways, back on the topic of business, I'd like a status report on everyone's work please." Gray begun changing the subject entirely.

Lyon hopped quick on broad with the new topic of our conversation, and responded to Gray. "Oh, no real problems on that front, at the moment, things are progressing quite smoothly."

Gray gave Lyon his carefree smile and nodded. "If that's so, then it's good to hear."

"Also can I pull you over for a second Mr. Fullbuster? I need to go over the sales really quick with you." Lyon asked. Gray nodded and I shuffled away from the trio.

Wrapping up his conversation with Gray, Lyon tapped me on the shoulder and I turned around. "Hey, Juvia" Lyon said smiling.

"...Yes, what is it? Do you need help with anything?" I questioned, my eyes igniting with curiosity.

"Nah, I was just wondering, after we're done with this job, do you wanna go on a date to celebrate?"

"Huh?" I coughed.

"You know, hit an amusement park or something, just the two of us. Well if there's any place in particular you'd like to go, I'm all ears."

"Um...there's really nowhere I want to-" Lyon suddenly then interrupted me, before I could finish.

"Now, don't say that!" He ecstatically boasted.
"We could take the whole weekend, stay overnight somewhere..."

What should I do? This conversation's starting to get out of hand. Instinctively, I looked in Gray's direction as if seeking salvation in him. As I did so, Gray walked over to us.

Laughing.

"You're still so young." Gray chuckled at Lyon. It was a cheerful laugh, free of any animosity. Seeing this, Lyon also nodded and seemed satisfied with himself.

"Well, I am about to hit a milestone pretty soon here, you know. I've been absorbed in my work, and the backbone of this department, so I've never had time for a girlfriend. But scoring someone on Juvia's level would be pretty nice."

I grunted with his response. "So I'm just an accessory to you, then."

He doesn't even like me... He's inviting me on a date because he wants to be seen with me.

"Huh? Whaaat?! No way, you've got it totally wrong! I think you're cute!" Lyon nearly screamed at me, embarrassed.

"Lyon..." Gray breathed, before bursting out laughing. Lyon's face turned a flushed red color, and I couldn't help, but smirk.

"What's so funny?!" Lyon embarrassedly asked.

"You're digging yourself deeper with every word you say." Gray laughed.

"Whatever. Girls will be all over me if I put myself out there! Which I haven't. Now...excuse me, I gotta get going." Lyon squeaked, walking quickly away.

"He's as lively as I remember." Gray stated, out of breath from his laughing fit.

"Yeah, sorry for you helping me. I never know what to do when I'm suddenly getting asked out." I confessed to my young raven haired boss. Gray nodded, empathizing.

"In those situations, you should just laugh it off without giving an answer."

My eyes quickly widened with what Gray just said. "So, that's why you laughed just now?" I asked. Gray patted my head, and nodded.

"Of course, if shunt him up for the moment. Didn't it? It's especially effective with men who get carried away like him." Gray said, caressing the top of my head.

A just stared at him, as he continued on. "Know you're opponent, and counter accordingly. That's the secret of business." Gray whispered as if we were sharing a important secret.

I blushed and peered down at my shoes. I think his cool-headed judgement is incredible, tough...

"Is something wrong Juiva?" He asked, bending over to look me in the eye.

"Ah! Everything's fine...I was just thinking how you easily countered him was really cool."

"...Really?" And with that Gray didn't say nothing more.

I wasn't sure if he noticed or not. But, at that moment, I felt that as kind and wonderful Gray has been to me from the start...there was still some uncrossable chasm between us.
