Chapter 4- Meeting the Fam-bam (Justin’s Family)

Justin turned to me, a not very happy expression on his face. It was more a mixture of fright and anger. I was so dead.

His jaw clenched and he sat there glaring at me, trying to control his breathing before he started to talk.

“Get rid of the bird now.” He instructed, with his fists clenched. I held back a smirk.

“No way bucko,” I responded, taking Rio off the steering wheel and placing him on my lap again. Then I crossed my arms stubbornly and stared at him.

He closed his eyes and I watched as his jaw muscles moved.

“Now, Summer.” He commanded me. I shook my head.

“No. Rio stays, we come as a package, besides at least I know you are actually scared of him, Justin Bieber.”  I replied smirking.

He looked out the window and a suspicious smile slid onto his face. I narrowed my eyes.

“Firstly, don’t you dare call me that and secondly, if you don’t want to get rid of the bird then go into that pet shop and get a stupid cage.” He answered me, pointing at the pet shop. He drove over there, not even waiting for my response and parked it on the side of the road.

“Seriously?” I asked dumb founded.

“Yep,”

“You’re pathetic.” With that I hopped out, Rio on my shoulder, because I was scared that Justin would kill him and stomped over to the pet shop. I walked in, a bell going off and glanced over my shoulder, checking that Justin hadn’t driven off. When I realised he hadn’t I looked ahead again.

I cringed at the smell of this place. It smelt rotten as hell.

“Welcome!” An old, creepy voice greeted. I crinkled up my nose and looked up at the counter, to see an old man. He had pretty much no hair, just a few wispy strands of grey and had black beady eyes that studied me intensely. He was short and had a haunch but still looked like a creep. This is why I hate going to downtown California.

This pet shop was run down and the only animals in it were two rats and a scrawny looking cat, which really did look half dead.

“Um, hi,” I replied, walking as far away from the man as possible. I officially hate Justin for making me go in this run down piece of crap; I should go back out there and tell him to take me to a different, more appealing pet shop. Otherwise he can get screwed.

For all I know that creepy man who was making his way to me could kidnap me and kill me, a slow painful death. A shivered ran down my spine at the thought.

“Are you looking for anything, love?” The old guy asked. He smelt just as bad as the shop itself. I am so going to have to have a really long shower after this, if I get out alive.

“Do have cages for parrots?” I questioned, gesturing towards Rio.

He was silent for a while; thinking and I took that as my opportunity to get out of this place.

“I’ll take that as a no, GOODBYE!” I shouted quickly as I ran backwards out of the shop.

“Love, come back here, I do have some for really cheap!” He yelled. But I was nearly to the door by the time he said that. I pushed it open in a hurry but to my horror pushed it way to fast and it slammed back into my nose. I groan left my lips as I fell backwards, Rio flying of my shoulder. I landed on the hard ground.

“Crap,” I muttered, rubbing my nose. I went to get up but the man appeared over me, a creepy smile on his face and Rio on his hand, whom he was stroking. No, Rio, bite him! I thought desperately.
