Chapter 2- Rebel Drivers
I came back down stairs with two massive duffle bags in hand, one packed to the brim with my clothes and the other one empty.
He was waiting in the kitchen, leaning against the bench, looking oh so sexy and- control your thoughts Summer!
He stared at my bags with a scowl on his face when he registered I had two, not one. Too bad for him.
“Are you deaf?” He asked me.
“What?” I responded.
“That must prove my point, I said: ARE YOU DEAF?” He yelled the last part sarcastically.
I glared at him. “No, I’m not DEAF and I heard you perfectly the first time, smart ass, but what did you mean by that?” I questioned him while placing my bags down.
He rolled his eyes. “Well, I recall saying only ONE bag, not two. Maybe you can’t count, instead.” He finished.
“You are not my boss, If I choose to lug two bags of stuff around, then thats my problem.” I snapped, grabbing my empty bag and heading for the pantry.
I heard him sighing as I entered.
I started grabbing food items and shoving them in my bag. Oreos, muffins, croissants, chocolate scrolls, noodles, blocks and bars of chocolate, muesli bars, packets of chips, condense milk tubes (I love them), sugar, skittles, m&ms, brain lickers, lollipops, gum, cupcakes, coke, creaming soda and lemonade cans and juice poppers.
I smirked to myself and went back outside and opened the fridge and shoved in fruits such as apples, oranges, lemons (I put the sugar on them), mangoes, bananas, peaches, apricots, carrots and celery. I put the fruits in more gently, careful not to squash the apricots, peaches or mangoes.
“Holy Hell!” Justin exclaimed in the background. I turned around and zipped the bag up and stared at him, his mouth was open in shock.
“I beg your pardon?” I said, smiling innocently.
“You just packed enough food to last a life time, freaking hell, I’m sure you can just buy more on the way!” He shouted, staring incredulously at the bag, that was bulging.
“Oh no, trust me, this food will most likely last me three days if I’m lucky.” I responded happily, pointing at the bag. I walked over and opened it and fished around for a chocolate bar, which I soon found. I pulled it out and re-zipped my bag and opened up the chocolate bar and shoved into my mouth.
Yum, chocolate, how beautiful, I could marry it!
Justin shook his head in disgust. Then I remembered my manners.
“Oh, how rude of me, would you like some?” I said shoving the chocolate into his face, not literally, but close enough.
“Ew, no.” He shook his head.
I shrugged my shoulders. “Suit yourself.” I muttered.
After that an awkward silence enveloped us and all I could do was munch on my chocolate bar. Once I devoured it, the silence got really, really awkward and Justin couldn’t stand it anymore, so he spoke.
“I see you changed out of your bunny PJs.” He said while a smirk slipped onto his face. Yes, I had, after the embarrassing encounter with him. I was now wearing red skinny jeans, black converses, a plain white tank top and a leather jacket, one of those ones that went to your belly button and the sleeves went to your elbows and had metallic studs on the folded over parts on the front. I also had pulled my hair up into a high-ish ponytail.
