(This was before the teapot and the reveal that the house in Monstade was Mona's house. And before the Electro Archon quest came out and everything passed it... yeah... )

Aether parted ways with his group and decided to sit by the base of the giant statue of Barbatos to wait out the storm. The loyal followers who usually pray to the statue everyday had left to seek shelter from the thunderstorm.

Paimon let's Aether hold her as she looks around at the sky in fear yelping everytime there's a loud noise or sudden strike of lighting. So Aether pats her head trying to calm her down.

"I really hate thunderstorms they are so scary! I can't believe that one time Beidou got struck by lighting!" Paimon whimpered.

"Yeah and she laughed it off and said it's a blessing from the electro god who gave her the vision she has." Aether smiled at the memory, "Beidou is the chosen one!" Aether joked watching the rain pour down on the streets of Monstade and start flooding the pool of water by the statue.

"Uh. I think if your god is trying to strike you down with lighting that's a definite sign they don't like you." Paimon looks up at Aether pouting.

"Well the gods are kinda different. I mean take Zhongli he knows so much about the so many trival things but he keeps forgetting the existence of Mora. Or Venti he's so care free he not even worried that his powers are gone." Aether sighed a bit.

"Yeah I guess the gods are a bit quirky huh. So maybe it is a good thing." Paimon nodded in agreement.

Aether gets up and climbs the statue a bit to sit on its feet since the base is now flooded. "You know... You think with a whole year and half they would have a place for us to stay by now, but no! We still have to camp out in the weather! It's not fair! We are heroes we should be treated better!" Paimon cried and screams when loud boom went off in the sky.

"I don't mind. I'm used to it. I don't think I've sleep in doors since I was a kid." Aether realized in shock.

Meanwhile inside the headquarters of Monstade....

Jean is looking out the window which is has buckets of water pouring down from it, "Oh my this thunderstorm seems much more fiercer than the others. I hope that cutie and his friend is okay." Lisa explains as she is looking for books on how to decipher the latest texts they have received from the abyss order.

"Do you think I should have someone go find them. I'm a bit worried myself." Jean explains touching her chest in worry as she removed herself from the window to pace around her office.

"I'm sure they are alright. They've dealt with storms like this before." Lisa sighed looking at the window trying to mask her worry, "Stay safe cutie." She whispered.

Back to our heroes the lighting gets even worse and is starting to hit rooftops...

"Oh no! That building caught on fire!" Paimon screamed in horror as Aether gets up and let's go of Paimon ready to do well something he's not sure what, "Quick let's get Kaeya so he can put it out!" Paimon tells Aether who nodded.

The wind picks up and swirls the rain to put out the fire and Venti makes another grand entrance by gliding over to them. "Don't worry I got it, but I've got to say. This thunderstorm doesn't feel right." Venti looks at the sky worriedly.

"Tone deaf bard! You put out the fire! Wait what do you mean by doesn't feel right?" Paimon looked happy and than confused.

"Usually the electro god is really good about not striking buildings and such, but this energy... it's not from the electro god. It's so chaotic and it makes me feel kinda sick and a bit weak." Venti explains looking at them both as he moves his hands around as he talks.
