The Curious Ones

The New Girl.

Saphyra's POV:

"I just love being the new girl". I thought as I rolled my eyes. 

I'm driving through the mountains of Washington behind my parents as we pull up to this house that is captured in-between the trees so not many people could find it right off the road. (House in picture above just with more trees surrounding it.)

I pull up behind my parents car and throw my Jeep in park. I get out and follow my parents up the driveway.

"You are going to LOVE this house Saph it is AMAZINGGGGG!!" my mom sings. I laugh "I'm sure I will." 

We all walk inside and we all go our separate ways. My mom heads into the living space while my dad heads to his office to get prepared for school Monday. My dad is a teacher at the high school I will be starting at Monday, and my mom is a creative writer. 

I head upstairs and search for my room. My mom had a designer come out before us to do some remodeling to the rooms since the house was a little outdated. I find my room and head inside.

I take a look around and smile. I have never been the type of girl to love bright colors or anything. My room was plain grey walls and all my furniture is either white or black. My bed was a queen that sat in the middle of the wall closest to the bathroom door with some beside tables right next to each side. My desk was straight across overlooking a big window facing the forest. My parents wanted me to have the room closest to the forest so when they were out in the woods so when they are running or hunting they can see in easily. 

My parents are vampires. Crazy right? Your probably thinking oh that's so cool that you are a vampire as well, but no. I was born human. My parents, Jackie and Vincent rescued me from a house fire 17 years ago. Both my real parents died that night with my siblings I only survived because the fire hadn't made it to my room yet.  

They raised me as their own and frankly I wouldn't change my life for the world. My parents do not drink the blood of humans they have adapted to the living on animal blood instead. They gave me the option to be one of them when I'm 18 but I haven't decided what I wanted to be yet. I realize I have been staring at the wall for some time now. I decide to start putting some of my stuff away. 

 "Hey Honey we are going to the Gray's house tonight for dinner in an hour so if I were you I would get dressed. " she walks in and sits on my bed "I would also wear something nice they've been our friends for a long time." she adds.

 I finish putting away some of my shirts and look at my outfit. I sigh and change into a pair of ripped skinny jeans but I keep on my black hoodie. I grab my checkered vans and head downstairs. I wait for my parents and scroll through social media. 

My dad rushes me and my mom out to the car and we get in. "Please put on a smile when we get there they made you a nice warm meal." My dad speaks as he looks at me through the rear view mirror. I smile at him "ill try my best" I say looking back at my phone.

This was the first chapter. How was it? was it interesting or boring? I would love to hear any feedback and I will include who I think her parents are and who the Gray's are in the next chapter. Thank you guys for reading and ill try my best to make the chapters longer!
